Offline locks with keypads have a default PIN of 13579 and “#”, which can be used for installation, testing and construction access. To test, enter the default PIN (13579 and “#”). The Schlage button will blink and the lock will unlock.
If you need to find your programming code, look inside the back of your lock. Simply remove the battery cover and you'll see a label with your Prog. Code. Enter the code you'd like to add or delete.
The default programming code is printed on a label on the programming guide that came with your lock. If you do not have access to the guide, remove the lock from the door and look on the back of the lock for a label containing the default code.
Let the Schlage button flash orange and beep 3 times before moving on to the next step. Enter a new 4-digit User Code. Choose a code that you will remember easily or record the code somewhere safe in case you forget. The code cannot be the first 4 digits of the Programming Code.

If it's only 1-5, then there are 3125 different combinations. If it's 0-9, then it's 10,000,000,000 different combinations.
Using 0 through 9, there are exactly 10,000 possible combinations for a 4-digit code. This includes using every conceivable series, e.g. 0000, 1111, 5555 7777. Of course, using the SAME digit four times as lock combination is NOT a good idea.
Note: Any lock codes created in the SmartThings app will override codes created on the physical lock. Touch the dropdown arrow (v) beside Locks at the top of the screen. Tap CREATE CODE to save the code. Touch SHARE to share the code with your guest using a messaging app on your device.
