All Kreepy Krauly cleaners are have an inbuilt steering system, coupled with a unique Ultra Flex Hose to give the cleaner the freedom to travel all over your pool.
Cleaners aren't meant to stay in the pool 24/7. This is true for all cleaners. Pressure side cleaners run on a schedule every day so why take it out? Leaving the cleaner in the pool 24/7 increases its exposure to corrosive chemicals in the water, such as chlorine or shock.
You've just bought one of the top automatic pool cleaners, and you've let it work its magic. Now that the cycle is done, should you leave it in the pool or take it out? The short answer is that you can leave it in the pool, but you shouldn't.
HOW LONG SHOULD A KREEPY KRAULY RUN? Just as long as it needs to, which is generally about 2-4 hours depending on the size of the pool and the amount of debris. Best practice is to remove Kreepy from the pool after you are satisfied with the results.
If you have an automated vacuum, it will run anywhere between two and six hours depending on your pool size. An automatic vacuum should never be programmed to run continuously, as it will wear out the motor, filter and interfere with other scheduled pool maintenance.
However, if you don't have a lot of debris, such as leaves, bugs, etc. or if you have a screened in pool, once a week should be sufficient. Vacuuming helps control the pH level in your pool much easier, so it's a great regular maintenance and cleaning task you can do to keep your pool clean and safe.
The rule of thumb for pool maintenance is to run your pump for eight hours per day.
The Kreepy Krauly E-Z Vac is designed for above ground pools, but its innovative design is based on the Kreepy Krauly in-ground cleaner.
Check to ensure the dive float mechanism is operating freely and the dive float restrictor is installed. Check the automatic regulator valve (shown here) for proper installation and ensure it is not clogged with debris. Make sure the water level is at the proper level, not too high or too low.
An ideal place to start with the weight is the middle of the first hose and then adjust it accordingly to balance the cleaner. Depending on the depth of the pool, the hose weight will have to be moved up or down the hose to achieve the correct balance.
Can you leave the Dolphin in the water? It is safe to leave your Dolphin cleaner in the water when not in use. However, (when adding chemicals to the pool) please remove the Dolphin until the proper chlorine and PH balance are obtained.
Manual Model
A manual vacuum should be run as long as it takes to remove all visible dirt and debris on the bottom and sides of the pool. For a small, well-maintained pool, this usually takes around 20 minutes. For a very dirty small pool, or a maintained larger pool, it may take around 45 minutes.
In general, it's a good idea to vacuum your pool once a week. You should also vacuum your swimming pool any time you notice large amounts of debris, dirt, or leaves on the floor of the pool (for example, your pool may need vacuuming after a heavy storm).
Two 10-year-old girls died while swimming in a private pool on Wednesday in Savyon after a malfunctioning pool-cleaning robot apparently electrocuted them. An autopsy is to be conducted to determine the exact cause of death before the girls are buried.
If your Kreepy Krauly is often stuck at one side of your pool there are two potential fixes. If the hose is too short then buy another line and have it extended out enough to cover the pool. On the other hand, if it is constantly being coiled then relaxing it or changing how you keep it stored will fix that problem.
One way to check for kinks in your hose is to lay each section flat on your pool's deck (or other flat surface). The hose should be perfectly straight and flat. Do not coil the hose when taking your Kreepy Krauly cleaner out of the pool because it will retain the coil shape, forming a bend or kink.
A Kreepy Krauly is designed to work with your normal filter cycle. All you will have to do is clean the skimmer box (frequency dependent on leaf load), clean your pool pump filter (as per manufacturer's instructions) and add chemicals to maintain your chemical balance.
The Kreepy Krauly rX-Tank is hands down, the best robotic pool cleaner for leaves and sand. It's the best pool cleaner for debris in general.
For routine vacuuming, the filter valve is left in the normal “Filter” position. This directs dirty vacuum water through the pool filter to remove the contaminants, then conveys filtered water through return lines back to the pool. The "Filter" setting is used for light to moderate levels of pool sediment.
A lot of people don't know this but Kreepy Krauly is a second-generation Western Australian family business started over 40 years ago by Terry Jackson.
It's best to run your pool pump during the day
Not only does sunlight give fuel for algae to grow, it also destroys your pool chlorine and this is why you should always run your pool during the day!
The size of your pool, the efficiency of your pump and filter, and how dirty your pool is are just some of the factors you need to consider. Nevertheless, most pool cleaning professionals would advise against running a pool pump for more than 8 hours a day.
One very important rule to remember: Just because pool water is clear doesn't mean it is sanitary or in proper chemical balance. Depending on the size of your pool, we still recommend the pump run 8-10 hours per day during the hottest summer months and at least 6 hours per day during the winter months.
8. You may be paying for weekly service but the guy is coming every other week, or even every three weeks. Since pool guys usually come when you're at work, you have very little way of verifying if and when they're there.
Brushing thoroughly 1-2 times per week will prevent these materials from having the time to create a stain. Brush to Prevent Algae: Every pool can grow algae, but plaster, quartz, and aggregate finishes are more susceptible.
