A: Dry time depends on the temperature, humidity, and thickness of the coating. Flex Seal will usually dry to the touch within 2 to 3 hours and fully cure in 24 hours. It will get stronger over time.
Whether you brush, roll, dip, or pour, we always recommend applying Flex Seal Liquid in even coats and allowing 24 hours between coats. If you press it and it's soft, it's not dry yet. Allow 48 hours to completely dry. Depending on temperature and humidity, dry times will vary between indoor and outdoor applications.
Remember to cut your Flex Tape larger than the area of the leak. You do not need to drain the pool prior to applying it. Flex Tape is a temporary, emergency repair and is not meant to be a permanent fix.
You can easily remove Flex Seal from any wood surface with patience and elbow grease. I've read of others having success with spraying WD-40 on the Flex Seal overspray. You can then take a damp cloth and wipe off the Flex Seal.
If the seal has cured, you may need to soak your hands in warm water to soften it up. Use acetone to get Flex Seal off of metal. For car exteriors, use toluene instead. Soak the Flex Seal in mineral spirits and scrub repeatedly if you got the Flex Seal on wood or cloth.
A: Flex Seal Spray is not recommended for high-pressure areas, however, if it is a faucet, it should work for that application. It's always best to test a small area first.
