Take off the doors and put masking tape on the edges of the cabinet boxes, and then just spackle the gap or caulk it. If the max gap is only 3/8``, caulk is probably the simpler option. After it dries, paint it to match.
The best way to fix that would be to remove the cabinet and cut the bottom at an angle, so it sits flat on the floor and flat against the wall. Next best is to shim the front so it raises the front, tilts the cabinet, and causes the back to sit flat against the wall.
Basic Trim Types
Base and Wall Filler (BF#, WF#) - Fillers are strips of wood designed to go between cabinets and structures, like walls. Base fillers are designed to mimic the shape of base cabinets. Wall fillers are straight.
What Are Cabinet Filler Strips? Cabinet filler strips are pretty self-explanatory–they are simply strips of wood that fill gaps in between cabinets and other objects. Most of the time, filler strips go in between the cabinets and the wall. While a wall may look straight, it's probably not perfect.
You NEED space between the end of the cabinet run and the end of the wall to allow for the crown molding projection. Otherwise, you end up with awkward little returns. Take the projection of the crown outwards, and add a couple of inches. That usually works out to between 4"-6".
Make sure that you use the right type of screws and fittings for your type of wall. Drill the holes, insert plugs if necessary, and screw one of the screws half way in. Hang the adjusting bracket on the screw, align the cabinet using a spirit level and screw in both screws – but don't tighten them completely.
The gap between cabinets and walls is often due to uneven walls or floors, poor installation, or natural settling of the house over time.
Bathroom sealant tape is another great way to get rid of a small gap between a cabinet and back wall. Moreover, bathroom sealant tape is waterproof so it should last a while. Before applying the tape, be sure to clean surfaces to remove any moisture, otherwise it won't stick.
Apply a bead of caulk along the edge where the backsplash meets the wall. Use a caulk finishing tool or a rubber-or nitrile-gloved finger dipped in water to push the caulk into the gap between the bathroom vanity and the wall. Install your bathroom faucet according to the manufacturer's instructions.
In most cases, the vanity should be flush against the wall-with no space between the vanity and the wall. This is done to help hide and protect the important components such as plumbing, as well as protect critical crevices or openings in the vanity that might expose it to water damage or other elements.
You will need to use a filler piece whenever there is a gap between the wall or another cabinet. The filler piece will fill the hole and create a finished look for your kitchen. All filler pieces are cut by you from a cover panel. Minimum filler for a cabinet with door beside a wall: 2" or more with larger handles.
Scribe molding is a thin strip of wood that covers gaps or inconsistencies where the cabinet meets the ceiling or wall. The piece of wood is typically straight on the end that is placed against the wall, but the other end is curved to fit the cabinet.

Re-screw cabinets directly into wall studs for a sturdy anchor point. We can locate studs and use longer screws designed for this exact purpose. Apply new construction adhesive to fill any gaps behind cabinets for an extra-secure bond. Refinish cabinets through techniques like repainting, re-staining, or refacing.
If your drywall tape is just pulling away in one small area, it may be worth trying to glue it back down. Insert a moderate amount of household glue and hold the tape tight against the wall for the time indicated on the glue bottle. If the glue holds, you have saved the day, with very little effort or expense!
What Are Fillers? Why Would I Need Them? A filler is a piece of finished wood used to "fill" openings or gaps between cabinets, or a cabinet and any obstruction, that would inhibit the doors or drawers from fully functioning.
Installing upper cabinets starts with answering the question: How are kitchen cabinets attached to the wall? Typically, this is done by using a stud finder to locate studs and by drilling wood screws through drywall to attach the cabinet.
We always use a 3″-wide piece as a standard in our examples. By leaving enough space, we're making sure that we'll have enough material to install the cabinets without any problems.
