Is it safe to use Pine-Sol® on other surfaces? Yes! Pine-Sol® is safe to use all around your home, from your playroom and dining room to your bathroom and kitchen.
A: We do not recommend using Pine-Sol® Original Multi-Surface Cleaner on aluminum, copper or marble surfaces. We also do not recommend using Pine-Sol® Cleaners on cars, on dishes or as a pet shampoo.
Pine-Sol is a multi-surface cleaner. Original Pine-Sol is a registered disinfectant with the EPA. This means that when the non-diluted formula is applied to hard, nonporous surfaces and used following the manufacturer's directions, it can kill 99.9% of bacteria, germs, and viruses.
Not only is this a powerful multi-surface cleaner, it's a Health Canada-registered disinfectant that kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria. Use it on hard nonporous surfaces from stoves to sinks, tile to wood floors, showers to toilets, and dumpsters to garbage cans.
A: While Pine Sol is a popular household cleaner, using it on hardwood floors, especially engineered hardwood, may not be recommended as it can leave a residue that could potentially damage the finish over time.
If you must use pine sol, I'd definitely follow with a clean water washing to remove residue especially for safety of animals and children.
Pine-Sol is also safe for luxury vinyl wood plank flooring and vinyl tile flooring, so long as used with a dry mop and you do not saturate the floors.
In 2022, certain Pine-Sol cleaners were recalled due to a potential health risk involving harmful bacteria.
Cleaning toilets and disinfecting toilet bowls is easier with these tips. Step 1 Pour Pine-Sol® directly onto a sponge, rag or scrubbing brush.
