You should use a stove board that is UL Certified for Safety. This means it was laboratory tested under various conditions to meet safety standards for wood-burning stoves. The decision to use Type 1 or Type 2 rated pads depends on how much heat protection you need.
I would recommend using brick or masonry as a heat shield for your wood burner. Just to be extra safe, you can place the corrugated sheets in front of the bricks and fix it in place with either Dynabolts or a galvanized nut and bolt assembly with washers.

A high density cement board reinforced with inorganic fibers, NAD-11 is suitable for applications requiring continuous operation in temperatures up to 500°C (932°F). NAD-11 is dimensionally stabile, non-combustible, chemically inert, and it retains its mechanical strength at temperature.

For most interior applications, Durock® Brand Cement Board Panels are not affected by water and do not need to be waterproofed. Durock® is water durable but not waterproof. If you're looking for added protection to water sensitive material behind the Durock®, you may consider adding a waterproofing membrane.
Cement board typically has a thermal conductivity (k-value) ranging from 0.18 to 0.35 Watts per metre-Kelvin (W/mK). Compared to concrete (1.0-1.8 W/mK), this relatively low thermal conductivity allows cement boards to provide some insulation value.
Replacing the back wall with heat-resistant materials, like heat-resistant stones or a specialized wood stove heat shield, can be cumbersome and aesthetically displeasing. A simpler, more elegant solution is to use a cast iron fireback as a heat shield for the wood stove.
Thus, thermoplastic is not a functional backsplash option for the area behind the stove. The best choices here would be ceramic, porcelain, glass, and metal tiles, as they are nonporous, and resistant to stains, fading, heat, and moisture.

Only solid masonry or corrugated steel walls are considered non-combustible. Merely covering a wood studded wall with a non- combustible material does not constitute a non-combustible wall.
