Bona products are specially designed to protect floors and the environment. Bona cleaners won't dull your floors or leave behind any residue.
Sticky floors happen when you have not passed the mop to remove too much cleaning solution or the wrong cleaning solution. It can also be due to dirty water used in rinsing your mop.
Bona protects all unwaxed, unoiled polyurethane-finished hardwood floors without leaving a trace. In addition, its water-based and pet-friendly formula is pH neutral and dries in only 90 seconds. This residue-free solution is designed to clean hardwood flooring, laminate floors, and more.
Since it doesn't need to be rinsed, diluted, or wiped off, it does all of the hard work for you.
Mix one capful of a clear hand dishwashing detergent, such as Dawn, with about two cups of lukewarm water. Dip a clean cloth into that, and wring it out so it's damp, then wipe down an area. Repeat, but with clear water and a clean cloth, then buff dry with yet another clean cloth. Then clean the next area.
Polish wood floors every 2-4 months, depending on the traffic in your home, to add extra shine and protection. Hardwood floor polish renews and refreshes the finish that protects your floor.
Residue-free, fast drying, ready-to-use solutions clean every floor type by easily and effectively removing dust, dirt and grime to reveal your floor's natural shine and beauty.
The curing process takes approximately 3 days (80% cured after 1 day, 100% after 3 days). The floor may be walked on after 24 hours but remains susceptible to scuffing or marring until completely cured. Do not replace area rugs until the floor has fully cured.
Unless the container states that it is a concentrate, Bona Cleaners are ready to use and should not be diluted.

Just please don't use them to clean wood floors. Using vinegar and water as a homemade wood floor cleaning solution can have a negative effect on your wood floor. Since vinegar is an acid, it will break down the finish on the surface of your floor, and over time it will reduce the shine, and leave a dull appearance.
Too much cleaning product used
Most people think that using too much floor cleaning solution will lead to squeaky-clean floors. This is usually not true and can easily lead to a sticky residue after cleaning. This will often leave floors sticky.
You Use the Wrong Cleaning Solution
For example, if you're using a solution meant for cleaning tile on your wood floors, it not only won't be as effective, but it may even damage the surface. In this case, the wrong cleaning solution can leave you with a sticky result.
When excess oil is left on the surface the oxygen in the air cures the surface leaving it sticky and easily marked. This is a common problem that strongly indicates that some excess oil was still present on the surface of the wood flooring after oiling.
One of the greatest solutions is using a steam mop. A steam mop will help you get rid of sticky residues easily. You can also try such multipurpose products as white vinegar, ammonia, washing and baking soda, and dish soap. But before doing that, check if you can use it on your floor type.
A sticky surface typically comes from an accumulation of dirt, cooking grease and grime. Another possibility is from the buildup of furniture polish, especially waxes or oils. Fortunately, it's usually enough to give it a good clean without having to strip and refinish the surface of your table.
Rubbing Alcohol or Vodka
Wet a paper towel or clean rag with rubbing alcohol, and rub the residue to lift it off. For stubborn stickers, lay an alcohol-soaked rag on the area, and let it sit for several minutes to soften the residue. Use the rag to rub off what's left behind.
Works dry and wet
I dry mop (dust) with it and it picks up a LOT of dust, dirt and hair. I clean it in the kitchen sink and use it wet to clean the floors, rinsing it repeatedly in the sink as I go.
Best used in spray and wipe floor cleaning procedures. Fill a spray bottle with diluted cleaning solution for use. How to use: Mix one-part Bona Cleaner Concentrate to seven parts water.
