Induction stovetops are, by far, the most energy efficient option for cooking.
Induction stoves are the most energy efficient of all types of stove tops. These stoves offer a high degree of temperature control. Induction stoves are safer and easier to clean as the stovetop itself doesn't heat up.
Favored by professional chefs, gas ranges allow for better cooktop control, enabling instant changes in heat since a flame doesn't need much time to warm up or cool down. And compared to their electric counterparts, gas ranges are also more durable, and in the long run, more cost-effective.
A major difference between a gas and induction stovetop is that induction is significantly more efficient than gas - food being cooked with induction will receive 90% of the heat generated, as opposed to only 40-55% for gas.

Slow cooker
Slow cookers are among the kitchen's most energy-efficient appliances. Although they take longer to cook food, they're rated at as little as 200 watts – less than a tenth of some electric ovens.
As a result, they are very energy efficient — using 30% less energy than standard electric coil elements while introducing less heat into the kitchen than conventional gas or electric designs.

Induction hobs cost more to buy, too. While induction hobs are much cheaper than they used to be, they're still more expensive than equivalent non-induction models.
Not only do gas ranges heat up faster and work better with varied cookware, but they are also easier to clean and maintain. In a recent survey conducted among 100 professional chefs across the United States, 96 reported that they prefer to use gas cooktops, and 68 also prefer gas ovens.
Disadvantages of Induction Cooking
The prices for induction have come down, but this cooking method is still more expensive than low-end gas appliances. Additionally, there may be an added expense if you need to invest in new cookware.
