APT is happy to announce the addition of two new colours to its curated range of Corian Solid Surface products for 2023: Carrara Lino and Sparkling Granita. Carrara Lino, inspired by Italian marble stone with prominent veining, gives a classic and stylish look while featuring all the benefits of Corian Solid Surfaces.
Imagine having an entire spectrum of colors to work with. The Corian® colors are presented in a rational system, based on value and hue, and divided into sub-palettes to help you quickly find the right color and texture. Choose from whites, neutrals, pastels, earthy hues, dark and black tones, and bright solids.
You can paint the Corian to a different color, and yes it can be practical. Corian is made up from a thick liquid solution of resins and pigments that is chemically reacted, then cast into a mold to create a solid material. I recommend using a high quality two component epoxy paint to the counter top.
Corian® Aurora is a warm beige yellow-based neutral, densely textured with small white and brown particulates.
For many years solid surface (Corian) countertops were considered a high-end alternative to granite tops. While granite consistently enjoys the top spot in luxury reviews, solid surface has declined in popularity. It's not dead yet though.
Caesarstone quartz generally costs more per square foot than Corian. Because quartz countertops are more durable and easier to maintain, however, the cost of ownership is typically less over time. Keep reading to learn more about why many consumers are willing to pay more for Caesarstone quartz.

This is the spectrum of colors emitted by the various atoms in earth's outer atmosphere. Most of the auroral features are greenish-yellow, but sometimes the tall rays will turn red at their tops and along their lower edges.
Red: A bit higher in the atmosphere (at altitudes of 300 to 400 km ), collisions with oxygen atoms produce red auroras. Blue and purple: Finally, hydrogen and helium molecules can produce blue and purple auroras, but these colours tend to be difficult for our eyes to see against the night sky.
Oxygen also contributes to pink and red auroras, but at much higher altitudes, at about 300 km (186 mi). The rarest colors, purple and blue, are produced when nitrogen molecules are excited at various altitudes. The Northern Lights' intensity and color can change from night to night and even minute to minute.
Avoid window cleaners, however, as they can leave a waxy build-up that dulls the surface. Experience has shown that a film builds up on the surface if water is left to dry on the countertop. This film will dull the look of the countertop making the finish appear blotchy and uneven.
For most residues, all you need to clean your Corian® Solid Surface countertops is warm soapy water, ammonia-based household cleaner, or a dedicated countertop cleaner. Do avoid window cleaners, however, as they can leave a waxy build-up that dulls the surface. Always clean using a circular motion.
Homeowners install countertops with hues across the entire spectrum, but the most popular colors are off-white and dark gray. At Henry H. Ross and Sons, we create beautiful countertops to complement any interior design with the best materials available.
In terms of durability, Corian tends to be more easily damaged by hot surfaces than natural stone. It's also more prone to scratches than surfaces like quartz and granite.
Many consumers look to Swanstone as a less expensive alternative to Corian or Avonite. One benefit of Swan's diversified product lines is that they are a good source of solid surface integrated sink countertops, especially bathroom vanity tops. Swanstone stands up well against high heat.
The majority of auroral displays are predominantly green for two reasons, the first of which is that the human eye detects green more readily than other colours. This is why photographic images of the Northern Lights will often show colours that were not visible at the time to the naked eye.
The top end of the auroral curtains and rays sometimes show a deep blue color. This is indicative of still another light emission process. The auroral electrons not only produce light emitting excited atoms and molecules, they also ionize some molecules.
An aurora is a natural light display that shimmers in the sky. Blue, red, yellow, green, and orange lights shift gently and change shape like softly blowing curtains. Auroras are only visible at night, and usually only appear in lower polar regions.
During the original film, Aurora's gown is blue as seen when Flora and Merryweather fight for the colors of her gown either in pink or blue even at the end of the film where Aurora dances with Prince Phillip in a ballroom dance. But in later appearances and merchandise, Aurora's gown is depicted as pink.
She spends most of the movie in the blue dress which doesn't become pink till the dance, yet it's always pink in promotional art and on dolls.
[The aurora or northern lights] only appear to us in shades of gray because the light is too faint to be sensed by our color-detecting cone cells.
