A semi inground pool is exactly what it sounds like: a swimming pool that is partially installed in the ground and partially installed above ground. Usually, most of the pool is still inground, but part of the pool will be raised a few feet or more.
Semi-Inground Pool Benefits: Fully insulated wall allows for full bury & will keep pool water warmer longer. Freeform shapes available to give a more custom feel and will tend to allow for 'challenging' (long and skinny) backyards. Can be installed as full inground at a lower price than traditional inground pools.
With proper maintenance, your semi-inground pool could last up to 20 years (by comparison, a typical above-ground pool typically lasts 7 to 15 years).
Semi-inground pools offer the best of both worlds. You'll find that a semi-ground swimming pool is significantly deeper than a regular above-ground pool, but doesn't cost nearly as much as a traditional in-ground pool.
STANDARD SYLES SEMI-INGROUND
Like all our Semi-Inground pools this has a flat bottom, but you may option a deep end although you must also upgrade the liner to a 30G. All the standard styles come in 2 panel heights either 48” or 52”.
Dependent upon pool shape and size, depth ranges available are from approximately a 36" shallow end to an 8' deep end. The pool wall, equipment and materials are like that of an inground pool but competitively priced like a higher end above ground pool.
Luckily, above ground pools can have both shallow and deep ends, just like an in-ground pool. Another pool option that is gaining popularity is the semi in-ground pool design. However, be sure you fully understand the costs of semi in-ground pools first.
For a semi inground pool, installation can be in as little as 3-5 days! This is because there are far less steps and you aren't tearing up the entire yard!
The Stealth Pool is a high quality alternative to a high-priced Inground Pool. The Stealth Semi-Inground can be buried up to 3/4 in the ground to create a sleek design in your backyard.
The Partial In-Ground Option
Some pool installation professionals suggest putting an above-ground pool only halfway in the ground. Doing so reduces excavation costs and minimizes the risk of the pool collapsing inward if it needs to be drained.
A semi inground pool is exactly what it sounds like: a swimming pool that is partially installed in the ground and partially installed above ground. Usually, most of the pool is still inground, but part of the pool will be raised a few feet or more.
These pools are typically made with a steel or aluminum wall rather than the vinyl, concrete, or fiberglass material like semi inground pools.
While above ground pools cannot be fully buried, they are the most pocketbook friendly option for those looking to add a pool to their backyard in the spring or summer. Learn more about what an above ground pool costs.
Above-ground pools offer far fewer options for pool shape, features and depth. Most are round or rectangular, with uniform depth — not more than 52 inches (a little more than four feet). In-ground pools can be practically any shape, size or depth that the owner chooses.

Now, we can completely bury a steel wall stealth semi in-ground pool for as low as $14,950. These are 14 gauge galvanized steel walls that will easily last 30 years or more. The Stealth pool will give the homeowner the flexibility to build their deck, have concrete poured, or a mix of both.
The Incredible Stealth Semi-Inground Pool
The Stealth Semi-Inground Pool can be sunken partially or it can be almost entirely submerged into the ground. This makes it perfect for backyards with a slope and it all it takes is some simple decking or stonework to completely hide the walls of the pool.
Above-Ground pools are available in a variety of sizes, in Round and Oval shapes. Depths range from 48" to 54".
An onground swimming pool gives you the look and feel of an inground pool at a lower cost and with faster installation. Designed to partially submerge in the ground, these versatile semi-inground pools pair perfectly with different types of decking and are an ideal option for backyards with considerable grades.
Sizes And Shapes Of Above Ground Swimming Pools
Round pools can get up to 33 feet in diameter with the smallest ones around 12 feet. Oval pools come in a wider range of sizes and styles with some of the biggest ones reaching about 40 feet in length and about 20 feet in width.
However, if you reduce the depth to a maximum of 5 feet, that same pool will contain about 11,400 gallons of water—only three-quarters as much as before. This volume loss will generate a gain: Less pool water means lower expenses. That's right: A shallower pool saves money by cutting operational costs in several ways.
WALL HEIGHT
We offer above ground pools in three different wall heights, 48”, 52”, and 54”. The idea here is that the taller your pool wall, the deeper your water can end up being. This does not mean however , that if you purchase a 52” wall that you'll have 52” of water to splash in.
You may be thinking above ground pools cannot be that deep, but they can actually go as far down as 8 feet or more! This is due to the elasticity of the vinyl liners. The vinyl liner can accommodate a space that may not be shaped exactly like a perfect pool. When installing, make sure it is over a gradual slope.
