Chlorine tablets are most commonly used to clean paddling pools at home. However, you cannot just drop a few chlorine tablets into the pool, you must buy a filter too. You can buy chlorine filters from most supermarkets during the summer months, and they're usually located near the swimming pool aisle.
If your kid's pool is pretty small, and draining and refilling it doesn't feel like a colossal waste of water, then the best way to keep the kiddie pool clean is to drain it when the water's dirty, scrub it down with a plain old kitchen brush and some mild dish soap, and refill it.
2. Use Chlorine Tablets. The best way to obtain a constant, consistent chlorine level in the pool is to use 1″ tablets or 3″ tablets in a floating chlorinator, aka chlorine floater. Most inflatable pools need just half of one 3″ tablet per week, or several 1″ tabs at a time, replaced promptly when they dissolve.
The water of your paddling pool can also be maintained using Milton Sterilising Fluid.
However many larger inflatable pools will use chlorine to kill harmful bacteria. Other chemicals in larger pools such as pH increasers, reducers, alkalinity increaser, and cyanuric acid are all used in addition to chlorine.
You can reuse pool water for up to 3 days! With an adult, at the end of the day skim the top of the pool to remove any bugs and bits and then top up with some fresh water. Use an old bed sheet to cover the pool overnight to keep the water cleaner, this will help to warm it up in the early morning sun too!
To clean an inflatable pool, you will need to drain the water, scrub the lining with a cleaning solution, and refill every few days. Typically, larger inflatable pools will not need to be drained. Instead, you will sanitize the water and balance the pH regularly with chemicals such as chlorine and pH balancers.
Choose a paddling pool with a filter

WADING POOL DISINFECTION
When chlorinating wading pools, use 1/8 cup per 100 gallons of new water. Mix required amount of Clorox® Regular Bleach2 with 2 gallons of water and scatter over surface of pool. Mix uniformly with pool water. Empty small pools daily.
For larger blow-up pools without electric filters, you can still use a chlorine tablet in a locking, floating dispenser to keep the water stable as it consistently releases minimal amounts of chemical safely into the pool.
Baking soda will raise the total alkalinity of the water. The alkalinity keeps the pH stable which then allows the bleach to remove more bacteria and contaminates. About a 1/2 of a teaspoon of baking soda will treat 26 gallons of water.
Salt is often presented as a healthier alternative to adding chlorine to a kiddie pool, since saltwater is gentler on the skin.
If you simply do not want to use chemicals to keep your kiddie pool clean, there is an alternative. Rather than chlorine, use Distilled White Vinegar. Add 1/2 Cup for every 100 gallons of water in your pool.

How long does it take for water to become stagnant? It depends on water location, temperature and surrounding conditions. Standing water can support insects, bacteria and mold growth in as little as 24 hours.
Like water in any other swimming pool, a Bestway pool's water has to be consistently sanitized. For chemical water disinfection, you can use either chlorine or bromine in a Bestway aboveground pool. Maintain Bestway aboveground pool chlorine levels at 1 to 3 parts per million (ppm) or bromine levels at 2 to 4 ppm.
Use a solution of warm water and white vinegar for a pool that is only slightly grimy. You only need about 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water. Dip your rag in the solution and wipe the pool clean. Toss the rag in the trash.
You can use chlorine tabs. You just need to dissolve the correct quantity in a bucket of water separately before adding to the paddling pool. But yes, chlorine granules are probs easier.
