If you wrap your clean hair in your towel, without products, you only need to wash it every few times. Just hang it up to dry between uses. The fabric manufacturer recommends a 30 degree cycle. They don't get dirty so a quick 15 minute wash should suffice.

"Bath towels and hand towels should be laundered after every three uses," says Dr. Maender. "This helps remove the contaminants that can cause infections and reduce odor-causing bacteria." No one likes a funky-smelling towel, but potentially harmful microbes represent the important health concern.
Towel drying your hair with a regular towel can cause your hair to experience major frizzing and even splitting. When your hair is wet, it's in its most fragile state. It's essential that you treat it delicately while drying it for this very reason.

Microfiber can hold up to 7 times its weight in water, making it great for drying, thus preventing mold spores from growing and spreading.
Towel replacement frequency
In general, the rule is to wash the towel after 3–5 uses.
