Tiles Calculator is an app that solves two purposes of managing stock and calculating/estimating floor, wall, and roof tiles required in construction. Flooring Calculator helps you plan the number of floor tiles or wall tiles in the rooms of your home such as your living room, bedroom, bathroom, or kitchen.
To do so, use a tape measure to determine the room's length and width. Then multiply the length by the width to get your square footage. For instance, if the room is 12 feet wide and 12 feet long, you will need enough flooring for 144 square feet (12×12=144).
Carpenter Square is the best application for builders, contractors, and mathematicians alike. Instead of squaring your corners with decimals, Carpenter Square will auto convert and calculate from readable units like feet, inches and sixteenths.
Divide the total area of the room/space by the total area of the tile that you have chosen for that room. For example, if the size of the tile is 1 sq. ft., you will need 120 tiles to cover a space of 120 sq. ft.
Calculating The Amount Of Packs
If you want to do it your self, divide the room area, by the box size. EG For a room that is 15m² and the floor you have chosen has a pack size of 2.3m². 15/2.3 = 6.5 or 7 boxes of Flooring.
This is simply the square footage of the space divided by the area of each tile. For example, if the square footage of the space is 120 square feet and each tile is 12 inches by 12 inches, the calculation would be 120 square feet / (12 inches x 12 inches) = 120 square feet / 144 square inches = 0.83 tiles.
Quick tip: Multiply the total square footage by 1.1 to get the total amount needed. Round up to the next-highest square foot. Next, look at the packaging for the LVT you've chosen to determine the square footage covered by one pack. Most boxes of LVT cover from 18 to 25 square feet, but this may vary.
Vinyl tiles generally come in 9- and 12-inch squares. To find the number of 12-inch tiles you need, just multiply the length of the room by the width in feet (rounding fractions up to the next foot) to get the number of tiles you need. Add 5 percent extra for cutting and waste.

On average, it can cost anywhere from $12 to $22 per square foot to install hardwood flooring, with the national average cost hovering around $11 to $12 per square foot. To install 1,000 square feet of hardwood flooring, you can expect to pay between $12,000 and $22,000 dollars.
Average Hardwood Flooring Cost. The average cost of installing hardwood floors is $3–$10 per square foot for materials and $3–$8 per square foot for labor, totaling $6–$18 per square foot. A single 200-square-foot room might cost $1,200–$3,600, while a 2,000-square-foot house could cost $12,000–$36,000.
While costs are similar, the value of premium vinyl far exceeds that of laminate based on quality and value. Unlike laminate, premium vinyl is durable and stable, resistant to moisture and climate, and is easy to install and maintain. Laminate is restricted to light traffic and low moisture applications.
Vinyl plank flooring is considerably more expensive than other vinyl sheet flooring that can run from $0.50 to $2 per square foot. Vinyl flooring professionals typically charge around $36 per hour, or $1 to $5 per square foot for labor, not including the materials needed for the project.
How many square feet is a 10x10 room? The square footage of a room 10 feet wide by 10 feet long is 100 square feet. Find the square footage by multiplying the width (10 ft) by the length (10 ft).
Estimate the number of tiles you need by determining the square footage of the area you're tiling plus the square footage of each tile. For example, if you're adding a tile floor to a 100-square-foot bathroom, and each tile is 12″ x 12″ (one square foot), you'll need about 100 tiles.
Multiply the length by the width and you'll have the square feet. Here's a basic formula you can follow: Length (in feet) x width (in feet) = area in sq. ft. Tip: If you can't picture what a square foot is, try drawing a square that is 1 foot tall by 1 foot wide—you've got one square foot!
Dimensions: Each tile measures 12 x 12 inches and 1.2mm thick. There are 45 tiles per box, which will cover 45 square feet.
Example: a 10′ x 20′ room = 200 sq. ft. Using a waste factor of 10% we calculate 10% of 200 is 20 so you will have to purchase 220 sq. ft.
