Among clothes washers, "the Maytag, Whirlpool, and Amana washers are made in Clyde, Ohio; and the Maytag, Whirlpool, and Amana dryers are made in Marion, Ohio," Blumenthal said.
Under the Whirlpool name since 2006, most refrigerators are still made at one of the original Maytag manufacturing centers in Amana, Iowa.
And all of Maytag's top -compartment refrigerators, including French door models, are made in Amana, Iowa, while Whirlpool makes its Resource Saver dishwasher in Findlay, Ohio and some ranges in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
LG's new Tennessee facility is expected to be the world's most advanced production plant for washing machines. Starting in 2019, the factory will initially produce front- and top-load washing machines.

LG is a South Korean multinational electronics company manufacturing products from air conditioners and TVs to washing machines and refrigerators. Some washing machines are said to be made in China, while some air conditioners are stated to be made in South Korea.
Today, Whirlpool Corporation owns the Jenn-Air, Maytag, Amana, Roper, and KitchenAid brands.
In addition to Frigidaire and GE products, brands manufactured in the U.S. include Dacor, Perlick, Sub-Zero, U-Line and Whirlpool-owned Jenn-Aire.
Michigan-based Whirlpool (which also owns Maytag and KitchenAid) makes many of the best performing wall ovens on the market.
