Step 1: Wipe Your Quartz Counters With Mild Dish Soap And A Soft Rag. Take a soft cloth or sponge and dip it in a warm water and soap mix. Take the sponge and begin to gently but firmly wipe down the quartz tops. Wipe them down as often as you need.
Scrubbing too hard can leave a dull surface or cause superficial scratches. Oven cleansers, grill cleaners, paint removers, dishwashing detergent, and other high pH cleaners should not be used on quartz surfaces.

Most household cleaners you would usually use to do a quick clean with such as Windex, vinegar and Lysol wipes (some of which contain bleach) are not a good idea for quartz countertops.
“Dish soap does have a way of leaving streaks if it isn't rinsed,” says Jessica Ek of the American Cleaning Institute. What to use instead: “A product formulated to clean a particular surface or material is always the most effective option,” Ek says.
Avoid using both alkaline and acidic cleaner because they will break down the bonds between quartz and resin and cause long-term damage to the surface. Harsh and acidic cleaning agents such as vinegar, lime, lemon are going to erode the sealant of the countertops' surface over time.
Use Mild Detergents & Soft Rags
To clean your quartz countertop on a daily basis, use a soft cloth or paper towels and mild detergents such as dish soap or another mild soap. Be sure to rinse the surface thoroughly after cleaning to prevent residue from sticking around.
Clorox wipes should never be used to clean your quartz countertops because the solution used in the wipes can potentially damage the surface. Instead, use warm water and mild soap, white vinegar and water or a quartz cleaner.
For most effective cleaning, fill a small spray bottle with gentle soap and water. You may also use a vinegar-based spray or make your own mild concoction. Then spray it over the countertop and wipe from side to side in full motions.
Dawn dish soap is by and large the best of the mild detergents to use. It is gentle enough to keep your finish on your deck, but strong enough to remove tough stains.
To make white quartz countertops white again, the best option is to clean it regularly with dish soap dissolved in warm water. If this doesn't work, use a quartz restorer, such as Weiman's Quartz Countertop Cleaner, then rinse thoroughly with warm clean water.

When using Dawn Powerwash, you should avoid cleaning porous surfaces such as marble and other soft natural stones or untreated wood. It is also best to keep Dawn Powerwash away from painted surfaces, too. Always make sure to test new cleaning products on inconspicuous areas of surfaces first.
We mentioned that it is important that you use only gentle chemicals on your quartz countertops. Some of these include dish soap, Simple Green, Magic Eraser, denatured alcohol, Rug Doctor Cleaner, or Hope's Surface Cleaner.
Quartz countertop care is remarkably simple. Just wipe the surface with water and mild soap or vinegar regularly. If you need to do more stringent cleaning (say, to remove stains), you can use Soft Scrub's gel cleaner, which contains bleach. Outside of that, you don't need to do much else.
Don't. Many people use Windex® or similar cleaners to help shine their countertops, while this is okay for most quartz, you should avoid cleaners with bleach or ammonia. Windex®, for example, comes in an ammonia-free version. The real key to caring for quartz is to be gentle.
In the Kitchen
Quartz countertops are stunning and versatile. They don't scratch easily and don't need to be resealed. When it comes to heat, proceeded with reasonable caution. Your coffee pot, a bowl of soup, or mug of hot tea won't damage quartz surfaces.
You Can't Set Hot Pans on Them
Although quartz countertops are extremely durable and considered heat-resistant, putting a hot pan right on the surface can damage the material. As with most other countertops, you'll need to use a trivet or stove mitt to protect it, as heat can cause discoloration and/or cracking.
Dawn soap is also toxic to wildlife, especially the aquatic community, because it poisons the water. This liquid cleaning agent contains 1,4-dioxane, a substance renowned for polluting or contaminating the water. The chemicals in Dawn dish soap can also affect aquatic life, disrupting the balance of their habitat.
The majority of my solutions contain blue Dawn® Ultra because it's concentrated. The regular Dawn is a non-concentrated version, (also called Simply Clean) so more diluted. Platinum Dawn is almost identical to Ultra, but it contains more surfactants.
Scrubbing Bubbles is fine. So is a mild white vinegar/lemon juice/water solution, if you prefer a non-chemical alternative. If you need to “scrub” the sink, a little baking soda sprinkled on the sponge is very kind to the surface. Any non-abrasive kitchen cleaning product should be OK.
