In addition to keeping the sides clear, the fridge shouldn't have anything next to it that generates too much heat. In an ideal world, there would be at least 9 inches of space between a stove and a refrigerator.
Installers recommend a good 15 to 20 inches between the refrigerator and stove with a minimum of nine inches. The 20-inch distance is essential when the stove is gas, making the heat more intense.
By placing appliances, such as the stove and the range, near each other, a cook can easily transport food from one to the other. It's not advisable to put a range directly next to a fridge, though.
If you're opting for air as the material for spacing, make sure to give a 30 cm distance between the fridge and the oven (if it's a gas oven) and at least 5 cm distance between the fridge and the oven (if it's electric).
14. Allow your fridge and oven to be a little closer. Traditionally, designers advised against putting the fridge next to the oven as it would have to work extra hard to hold its temperature, wasting energy. But things are changing, which is good news if you have a very awkward space.

From what we found, you can put a refrigerator in the corner of your kitchen, especially if you have a smaller space. It's also a good idea to make sure you keep your fridge at least two inches from the wall and give it about an inch of clearance around.
The fridge should always be located in close proximity to a bench with ample available space. This will allow grocery loading to be prompt, meaning the door is open for a lesser amount of time, and when gathering ingredients for food preparation one can easily grab what is required and place down promptly on the bench.

All the objects inside the kitchen represent fire, so gas stoves, cylinders, microwave ovens, toasters, among other appliances should be placed in the south-east part of the kitchen. Also, these items should be placed in a manner which will compel a person to face the east while cooking.
Allow at least 15 to 18 inches of counter space on one side of the oven. Allow counter space on both sides of the stove or stovetop – 12 to 18 inches on one side and 15 to 24 on the other.
Having at least four feet of space between your stove and other appliances is ideal. This will allow you to work over your stove and oven while others are simultaneously using other kitchen staples like a dishwasher or microwave. For electrical reasons, this is also recommended.
