What do the lights mean on my SimpliSafe camera? On the SimpliCam, when the blue light flashes, that means the camera is recording.
SimpliSafe cameras don't support continuous recording, but we prefer cameras that only record events otherwise reviewing footage ends up taking too much of our time.
Check for a blinking or solid light on the camera itself. A red or green light may indicate whether it's actively recording. Recording Icons or Text: Some cameras display a recording icon or text on the video feed when they are actively recording. Look for any on-screen indicators within the camera's live view.
In a normal state, a blinking or flashing blue light indicates that the Outdoor Camera is sending data, specifically actively livestreaming or recording to your timeline. In very rare instances the Outdoor Camera may become unresponsive after reconnecting its power cable or recharging the battery.

Watch the camera light

A solid blue light indicates that the camera has been paired with an account and is connected to your router. A blinking blue light indicates that the camera has lost connection to the Internet and is trying to reconnect.
