However, floating floor installations require expansion space to accommodate movement while maintaining cabinet stability. If you're trying to float vinyl flooring or engineered hardwood then installing cabinets first is the way to go.
Disadvantages of Floating Vanities
Floating vanities tend to have less storage space than freestanding designs because the cabinets don't go all the way to the floor. However, this can be mitigated with modular wall storage solutions that can be designed to coordinate with the vanity.
Most sofa seating heights are close to 18 inches above the floor, and eye level for an adult seated in a relaxed manner is about 24 inches above the seat. That puts the optimum, center-of-television height for a typical seated viewer at 42 inches (18 inches + 24 inches).
A good rule of thumb is to mount your TV so that the center of the TV screen is 42-45 inches from the floor. Remember that's the middle of your TV not the bottom or the top of your TV, you most certainly don't want your 65-inch TV too high of a distance from the floor.
