A: Unlike spackle or joint compound, Flex Paste dries to a waterproof, flexible rubber. Therefore, sanding may not be the best option once Flex Paste has cured. Instead of sanding we recommend using a putty knife, trowel or similar tool to smooth over the surface of the Flex Paste to your desired finish.

A: Dry time depends on the temperature, humidity, and thickness of the coating. Flex Seal will usually dry to the touch within 2 to 3 hours and fully cure in 24 hours. It will get stronger over time.

A: Flex Seal Liquid can be poured as thick as you need it, but the dry time will increase with thickness. We timed dry time for something that was a half inch thick and it took about 8-9 days to dry. Temperature and humidity play a factor as well.

For cleaning purposes, we just recommend using regular soap and water on the surface of the cured Flex Liquid. Alcohol and other minerals will begin to breakdown the product and slowly remove it.
Use WD-40: Spray the Flex Seal with WD-40. Let it sit for a minute to soak in, then rub it gently with a microfiber cloth. The Flex Seal should come right off! Use Goo Gone: Other commercial adhesive-removal products will work too!
