Hard Water Mineral Deposits (Calcium, Magnesium, Lime)
Unless you wipe your sink dry after every use, water left behind will eventually evaporate. When water evaporates, minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and lime are left behind, bonding to the surface. These spots are called mineral deposits.
If your composite sink has limescale staining or hard water stains, these can show up clearly against a dark-coloured sink. For these, you do need to use a diluted vinegar to help remove them. The key is not to use straight vinegar on the sink, but to make a mixture that is 50% water and 50% vinegar.
The resin turning milky or crystallizing is a common occurrence with resin. This typically occurs more frequently when subjected to either weather below 50 degrees, stored on concrete, or stored on metal surfaces.

Get some white vinegar, put it in a spray bottle with water (50:50 should do it) and give that sink a good spraying, all over. Then wipe down with a microfibre cloth. You should find that vinegar will keep your sink looking sensational.

Add Hydrogen Peroxide to the Mix
If the baking soda hasn't relieved your sink of all its stains, hydrogen peroxide may do the trick. Cover your sink in a layer of paper towels, then use a spray bottle to spray the hydrogen peroxide all over.
Heat Resistance
As with all types of sinks, granite composite kitchen sinks are heat resistant. However, they are not heat-proof, and cannot withstand extreme temperatures such as a hot pan taken off the hob and placed directly into the sink. The acrylic resin in the mix of a granite composite sink could warp or melt.
Mineral deposits can lead to discolouration, which you can remove with proper care and attention. It is important to note the following when cleaning your granite composite sink: Do not use full strength bleach or cleaners with ammonia. Do not use chemical drain openers.
For a more thorough clean, sprinkle baking soda over the whole sink, then spray with a 75/25 solution of white vinegar and water to create a fizzing solution. A gentle scrub with a soft sponge and an old toothbrush is enough to give your sink a thorough clean.
Stubborn Stains – A solution of 50% bleach, 50% water should only be used for tough, stubborn stains. Let the solution sit in the bottom of the sink for one hour; then scrub. Rinse well. Also, the use of Bar Keepers Friend (directions included on bottle) will help remove stubborn stains.
Give the sink a thorough wash
To prevent scratching the surface of the sink, scrub it with a non-abrasive cleaning pad. Dry the black sink with a clean cloth. Move in gentle circular motions until the sink is completely dry. Take a clean cloth and squirt 10 to 12 drops of vegetable oil.
First, we want to make sure we do not accidentally damage the surface. Avoid using any harsh/acidic/alkaline-containing products on your sink. This means avoiding lemon juice, vinegar, bleach, window cleaner, oven cleaner, and most leading brands formulated to remove Calcium, Lime or Rust, ammonia, et cetera.
If you are concerned about water marks being left on the surface, which are more likely to appear on composite sinks of a darker colour, then wiping your sink with a lint-free cloth to dry it off should do the trick. Drying your sink after each rinse will help prevent the build-up of water stains and limescale.
Quality composite granite sinks are formed under high pressure, making them nonporous, hygienic, and resistant to heat, stains, scratches, and chips. However, cleaning and removing stains from a granite composite sink can be tricky.
Use a mild mixture of one part white vinegar, 1.5 to 2 parts warm water, and a generous squirt of Dawn Dish soap. Mix in a spray bottle. Using this routinely will clean away any white rings or droplet spots left on the surface. Use a soft microfiber cloth when cleaning with this solution.
Stainless steel is the most likely material to scratch. Scratches on black stainless steel sinks are especially noticeable because they can reveal the silver finish beneath the black coating. Black composite sinks are unlikely to scratch, but sometimes they do.
SURFACE LUSTER
Clean, rinse and dry sink completely. To restore luster and extend the time between cleanings apply a thin, even coating of Quartz Sink Conditioner, food-safe mineral oil, or olive oil to the entire sink surface with a cloth. Remove excess with a cloth or leave overnight. Reapply as needed.
If you know your suburb is prone to hard water, a black sink may not be the right choice for you. Hard water can leave a white marks on the sink. You can not use harsh chemicals in the sinks either as these can leave marks too.
Use a diluted vinegar solution first to dissolve limescale
To clean black taps using vinegar, mix equal parts of vinegar and water in a bowl. Soak a cloth in the solution and scrub the taps gently. Afterwards, rinse the area thoroughly with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
The Removal Process:
Combine white vinegar and water, in equal parts, in the spray bottle. Spray the stained area and allow it to soak for at least 15 minutes. If the piece is not laying flat, you can place a cloth that has been moistened with the solution on top of the stain (or tie it around the area)
