The SmartThings app is Samsung's central app for controlling all smart home devices installed in your home. It isn't limited to Samsung device users since anyone with an Android device or an iOS device can install it.
SmartThings is based around a hub, which also works with Zigbee and Z-Wave so you can link up third-party devices such as Hue bulbs. The SmartThings phone app is available for both iOS and Android, and devices are controllable via Google Assistant and Alexa as well as Samsung's own Bixby.
First, turn on the Smart TV you want to connect. Then, on your phone, open the SmartThings app. Tap the Device tab, tap the Home icon, and then select the location where you'd like to add the TV.
