It's often a good idea to stake pepper plants. Although many peppers are strong plants that do a good job at holding themselves upright, sometimes they need a little help — especially toward the end of the season.
It's common for some pepper varieties to become top-heavy and lanky as they grow taller. To prevent your plants from leaning as they grow, we recommend staking your plants weather they are growing directly in the ground or in containers.
