Comet cleanser is one of my favorites to use. Despite what you may have been told, Comet cleanser will not scratch your sink. Whether it is porcelain, stainless steel, cultured marble, or natural stone, odds are that Comet cleanser will work fine.

Tip #3: Good old Comet and the regular toilet bowl brush is all you need!! And if you have any scratches in the bowl, just sprinkle the Comet in and let it sit there for 30 minutes or more and the scratches will be gone…with no scrubbing!!!!
For white porcelain only, bleach can be used to remove stains; never use chlorine bleach in colored or vintage porcelain, as it can damage the finish. For both white and colored porcelain, liquid oxygen bleach (such as hydrogen peroxide) is a good alternative.
A baking soda and vinegar solution is perfect for cleaning a porcelain sink and removing stains. Make a paste out of the two ingredients and use a soft-bristled brush (such as an old toothbrush) or cloth and your finger, to apply and scrub the stained area.
Things to Avoid
Stay away from products with bleach or ammonia because they can change the tile or grout coloring. If you need to scrub your floors, make sure not to use any brushes with hard bristles since they can scratch the porcelain surface.

For example, AJAX, Comet, Soft Scrub, Scrubbing Bubbles, Tilex, are very damaging to any new or refinished bathtub. Why? AJAX, Comet, etc. are very abrasive.
NEVER USE hair dyes or abrasive cleaners such as Ajax, Comet, bleach ammonia, Soft Scrub, scratch pads, or S.O.S. Pads, as these will damage the surface of any bathroom surface and void most warranties. We recommend the use of mild liquid soaps or Bar Keepers Friend.
Since grout is still porous and requires cleaning to ensure that nothing penetrates it anyway. Some of your at-home options are scrubbing with a stiff brush and vinegar/baking soda mix, abrasive cleaners such as: Comet – its abrasive nature along with cleaning agents basically sand out the stains.
It is important to avoid using abrasive products like Comet, Ajax, or anything containing cerium oxide. Abrasive cleansers while effective in cleaning many other surfaces can damage glass and are not recommended.
For cleaning and sanitizing, the CDC recommends a dilution of one cup of bleach to five gallons of water. Diluting bleach decreases the alkalinity and is safe for regular use on all types of porcelain and ceramic tile surfaces.
Weekly cleaning with hot water and dishwashing soap is great, but for deep cleaning, we recommend baking soda and ammonia.
That being said, non-abrasive cleaners are the best way to clean a porcelain sink. Common household go-to's like bleach and hydrogen peroxide can be used to clean white porcelain, but the solution would need to sit covered in a layer of paper towels for 30 minutes to an hour.

Wire brushes or steel wool should not be used. And the same goes for abrasive cleaners like Borax or Comet. Those tools can scratch tiles, and the chemicals can damage grout.

The day-to-day cleaning of porcelain stoneware is carried out using a floor cloth and a mix of hot water and a neutral detergent readily available on the market. We recommend avoiding waxes and polishes and abrasive tools such as metal scouring pads and hard-bristle brushes.
Do not use cleaning products that contain acids or ammonia (and other harsh chemicals) as these can damage grout and glazed surfaces of the tile. Choose products that are compatible with your grout to avoid damage or discoloration of the grout. Always dry your porcelain thoroughly after cleaning.
