Most sock materials can be washed in a washing machine and then dried in the tumble dryer. If you're ever in doubt, check the manufacturer's care instructions or dry them naturally. When washing and drying your socks, you should use a mesh wash bag to separate them from other clothes.
The dryer does not eat your socks. Since socks are such a small clothing item, during the drying cycle, they can slip in and out of the inner and outer drum. If they are not found on the inner or outer part of the drum in the dryer, the socks may have fallen underneath the drum.
If you have no iron, look for other sources of heat such as a radiator to hang your socks near or a blowdryer to blast them with heat. Give them as much air and exposure as possible. No heat? Place socks near an open window or anywhere that circulates air instead.
Aside from the risk of fire (and losing socks), a clogged vent can: Cause the dryer to work harder to perform its task. Increase energy consumption. Accelerate the failure of the thermostat.
In the dryer, socks can end up in various places due to static or tumbling. They might stick to the drum or cling to other garments. Sometimes they gather in corners or pockets. To prevent loss, use a mesh laundry bag or sort socks carefully before drying.
If the lint trap is located in the front of your dryer, pull it out, and look for socks in the space underneath. If you don't push the filter all the way in when you start a load, socks can find their way there. Static electricity can cause socks stick to other clothes in the dryer.
Sometimes socks can fall through a crack in the seal and get stuck between the drum and the tub. There is even the possibility that the sock eventually works its way down to the drain pipe and gets sucked out with the rest of the waste water.

There is a duct that goes from the lint trap into the blower wheel assembly. You will have to remove that duct and should be able to remove the sock then. The sock is probably stuck on the blower wheel for the fan.
Per the requirements of the International Residential Code, Section M1502 (2009-2021 IRC), the clothes dryer exhaust duct should be a rigid or semi-rigid metal duct made of galvanized steel or galvanized aluminum with a smooth interior finish and a duct diameter of 4 inches.
Don't tumble dry the kit (socks can be tumble dried, if necessary). Do hang the kit to dry naturally, on a radiator, if necessary. Don't ever iron a football kit, it's not necessary and the material can easily burn.

Wearing socks maintains the natural moisture in your feet so they do not become dry or cracked. A good trick to prevent calluses is to apply moisturizer on your feet before slipping the socks on.
The dryer can damage wool socks by stretching them. This results in them losing shape and cuts short their lifespan, so don't do this if you love your super-snug wooly socks!
Once you've stretched your socks out, it's time to dry them. Avoid high heat, as this can cause the fibers to shrink again. Instead, lay them flat on a towel and let them air dry naturally.
And along with your bras and silk underwear, it's best you don't put any other lingerie or stockings in the dryer either. These materials may shrink or become wrinkly because of the high temperatures inside the dryer, and it's next to impossible to reverse such damage. They may also snag on something, creating a hole.
In The Dryer Exhaust Vent

Small socks can slip through a lint trap that isn't fully in place and end up getting stuck. In between the cracks – Clothes dryers have a small space between the door and the drum, and socks can easily fall into it. This means the inside of your dryer could be a treasure trove of lost socks!
Other times, static electricity can cause objects to cling to one another. Think of how socks fresh out of the dryer stick together. This happens when objects have opposite charges, positive and negative, which attract. (Objects with the same charges repel one another.)
Sock Dewatering Systems are a relatively simple concept.
