Hydrogen peroxide is a mild oxidizing agent commonly used for spot treatment of tough or discolored urine stains. It is especially effective at removing yellowing caused by dried urine. Pro tip 2: If vinegar doesn't seem to be working on your stain, you can up the ante by using hydrogen peroxide. By combining ¼ cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide with your 1:1 combination of vinegar and water (1 cup vinegar + 1 cup of water) you'll create an even more powerful stain and odor-removing cleaner.
Dawn dish soap has a million uses, including removing urine stains and odor from carpets. When combined with hydrogen peroxide, this disinfectant mixture will break down stains on a molecular level and kill bacteria, making it one of the best pet stain removers.

Make a solution of baking soda, peroxide and any dish detergent. The combination of the three is often powerful enough to drive away strong urine smells.

A person with uncontrolled diabetes may have high blood glucose levels. The body tries to get rid of the extra glucose through urine, which can cause it to have a sweet smell, similar to honey. People with sweet-smelling urine due to diabetes may notice other symptoms, including: exhaustion.
Old urine stains
Once you find the stains, it's important to note that they'll require more stain remover than fresh stains. “Instead of using a simple enzyme cleaner, you may want to try an oxygen-activated enzyme cleaner to remove the stains and destroy the odor.
Most urine stains can be cleaned either with a homemade vinegar cleaner, or a homemade hydrogen peroxide cleaner. First, blot the stained area to remove as much moisture as possible. Then, spray white vinegar over the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. Afterward, sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda over the affected area.
So, if you use 1 teaspoon of Dawn, you will need 2 teaspoons of peroxide. Or 1/2 cup of Dawn and 1 cup of peroxide.
