Do not use rubbing alcohol, paper towels, compressed air, dish soap or vinegar. All of these can damage your phone: Paper towels can scratch your screen, and vinegar could damage its coating. Do not use hand sanitizer on your phone screen, but do sanitize your hands before touching your phone.
The safest bet is to use disinfectant wipes that contain 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean your phone screen. Before the pandemic, we were instructed to not use disinfectant wipes on our phone screens, but Apple says it's OK to use Clorox Wipes and other disinfectant wipes with similar concentrations.

Safe, effective eyeglass cleaning
Wipes and cleaning solutions provide gentle, thorough cleaning for eyeglasses, sunglasses, binoculars, camera lenses, sports goggles, and display screens.
Before you begin, turn your phone off and disconnect it from your charger. If you don't have disinfectant wipes, you can spray an alcohol-based based (70% isopropyl) solution on a soft, lint-free cloth and then gently wipe down your device. Just be sure that you don't saturate the cloth.
Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) wipes can potentially remove or damage oleophobic coatings. Oleophobic coatings are designed to repel oils and other hydrophobic substances, such as fingerprints, from the surface of a device or screen. These coatings are commonly found on smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices.
But no an alcohol solution is fine to use on the camera and any other components of the phone as long as you take care not to apply too much of anything liquid to it.
The only downside of 99% isopropyl alcohol is that, understandably, it needs to be used and stored properly. In this concentration, it is highly flammable, may cause dizziness if used in high quantities in an ill-ventilated area, and can be an irritant to skin and eyes. Of course, it should also never be ingested.

You can buy rubbing alcohol with a concentration of 70% or 99% isopropyl alcohol. Even though you may think the higher concentration is more effective, experts say 70% is actually better for disinfecting. It has more water, which helps it to dissolve more slowly, penetrate cells, and kill bacteria.
First, lightly dampen the corner of a microfiber cloth with 70% isopropyl alcohol, or regular rubbing alcohol you can find it at your grocery store or pharmacy. Then, thoroughly wipe your phone screen with the damp part of the cloth from edge to edge.
The trick with rubbing alcohol is not to use 50/50. I got some 99% for that kind of cleaning. 70% or higher is recommended. A drop of gas line antifreeze may help, methyl hydrate.
Don't use any sharp objects to try to gouge out any gunk. We've seen advice suggesting that you should use the sharp end of toothpicks, tweezers, and even paperclips to scrape your speaker grilles. Don't. Don't use rubbing alcohol or any kind of liquid.
For most laboratories, isopropyl alcohol (IPA) is the preferable choice for cleaning electronics because of its rapid rate of evaporation and its ubiquity in the laboratory environment at the purity required to clean electronics without damaging them.
70% isopropyl alcohol wipe: Apple, Samsung, and Google all recommend using isopropyl alcohol–based cleaning wipes on their devices. Apple also says you can use 75% ethyl alcohol wipes or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. Samsung additionally suggests 50- to 80-ppm hypochlorous acid–based solutions.
Troubleshoot your cable, power adapter, outlet & case
Check that the cable is securely connected to the adapter and to your phone. Check that there's nothing in the port of your phone, like dust or lint. Try to charge your phone with another cable or power adapter.
