Chromhidrosis is a condition that turns our body oils and sweat into a blue or even gray color. There's a sweat gland known as lipofuscin and it's common in our bodies. But people who suffer from chromhidrosis have a higher concentration of lipofuscin and this leads to discoloration of the sweat and body oils.
The closest I could get to a plausible explanation is that newer toilet seats apparently have some sort of silver in an antimicrobial coating, and that sometimes, something in human sweat can react in such a way that the silver oxidizes, taking on a bluish or purplish hue.
These stains are caused by the accumulation of minerals like calcium and magnesium present in hard water.
Toilet seat stains are common and can be caused by product build-up, urine, fake tan, dead skin, mineral deposits and certain cleaning products. The stains can range from orange to yellow to brown or green, depending on the cause of the stain.
Bacterial Growth: Certain types of bacteria, particularly Serratia marcescens, can cause a pink discoloration. This bacterium thrives in moist environments and can produce a reddish pigment. If your toilet seat was not thoroughly cleaned or dried, it could allow these bacteria to grow.

One of the most common causes of blue toilet water is the use of blue cleaning tablets. These tablets are dropped into the toilet tank, slowly dissolving and turning the water blue. While they can make your toilet bowl look cleaner, they have chemicals that can damage the rubber and plastic components of your toilet.
Mold, Mildew Or Bacteria
Sometimes, what you think is black soot might actually be mold, mildew, or some kind of bacteria. If your bathroom has a lot of moisture (which, let's be real, it probably does), mold and mildew can grow in hidden spots like around the toilet, behind the shower curtain, or in the grout.
The waste in urine contains phosphorus, potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium. These substances produce brown or yellow stains in the toilet bowl. This is known as urine scale. This dirt in the toilet bowl means that your toilet is never really hygienically clean.
The most common cause of purple toilet water is a chemical reaction between the chlorine in the water and the mineral magnesium. This reaction can occur when magnesium is present in the water supply, which is often the case in areas with hard water.
Brown stains can also come from iron bacteria, manganese bacteria or sulfur bacteria. These organisms grow in soil or shallow groundwater with high iron, manganese or sulfur concentrations. Water containing these bacteria leaves behind slimy brown rust deposits in plumbing fixtures and toilets.
Cleaning the toilet with sodium hypochlorite creates an alkaline environment. It has been hypothesised that in this alkaline environment polymerisation of mesalamine and/or metabolites in urine could lead to urine discolouration [4].
The borax powder works on stained areas within minutes. You need to mix the powder with some water in a 1:1 ratio. Apply the paste around the stained areas and leave to soak for about 15-20 minutes. Then, use a brush and scrub thoroughly to remove the stains.
