There are several reasons your ice maker may suddenly stop working, including a blocked water dispenser, issues with your water supply line or a clogged water filter.
The water filter is dirty or clogged. The heating element in the ice machine isn't functioning. A pause command has accidentally been enabled. The thermostat is set too low.
To reset your ice maker, first find the reset switch or button. This can be found behind a small panel inside the freezer compartment or near the ice maker itself, depending on the model. Press and hold the reset switch for 5 seconds and then release it. Wait a few moments for the ice maker to restart.
If you see any frost on any walls, floor, ceilings, then you need to completely defrost the unit by unplugging, remove all food and leave doors open for 2 days. Once you plug it in, allow 48 hrs for ice production. If everything works fine, for a few weeks then ice slows again, you have an issue that many have had.
Your freezer temperature could be too high, the water inlet valve may not be functioning correctly, your home water pressure may be low, the refrigerator's water filter may be clogged, or the ice maker may need to be replaced.

Refrigerator Auger Motor
If the auger motor is burned out or defective, the ice won't move forward and fall through the chute. To determine if the auger motor is defective, pull out the ice bucket and turn the bucket auger by hand. If the auger turns freely, use a multimeter to test the auger motor for continuity.
Reset the Ice Maker
The first and best troubleshooting step is to power-cycle the ice maker. Every ice maker is different so it may take different steps to reset the device. For control-panel ice makers, there may be a simple reset button to press that will cycle the power and the default settings for your ice maker.
Fridge temperature settings are generally numbered from 1 to 5, with 5 being the coldest. A fully stocked fridge may need to be set to a higher setting (around 3 or 4), whereas one with more space is best suited to temperature setting 2 or 3.
It's possible that Ice may be jammed. Ice could have melted and frozen around the auger due to infrequent use, temperature fluctuations, and/or power outages. Remove the ice bin, thaw and empty contents. Clean the ice bin (wipe/dry) and replace in proper position.
Keep your freezer about 3/4 of the way full for the optimum temperature. Change the Water Filter: A clogged refrigerator water filter can restrict water flow and cause slow ice production. Replace the water filter at least every six months to improve your ice maker's speed.
