Paint Yellowing
Where possible, choose a top quality water-based paint and/or a non-yellowing varnish, we recommend Dulux Aquanamel®. Acrylic paints do not tend to yellow as much as solvent-based paints, and are the only sure way to protect against premature yellowing.
For a crisp, calming, warm white paint color without yellow undertones, try the following options: Benjamin Moore's Swiss Coffee (OC-45), Benjamin Moore's Super White (OC-152), Sherwin-Williams' Snowbound (SW 7004), or Farrow & Ball's Pointing (No. 2003).
Over an existing finish: Apply two coats of Stain Blocker, then 1-2 coats of Brushable White Enamel, White Poly (spray only), or Milk Paint. Always let any primer dry overnight. Many primers suggest a 3-hour dry time and that is not enough.

If you are looking for a paint that doesn't yellow very much and you are happy with a satin/eggshell finish, then I'd recommend that you use Zinsser Permawhite or Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood. Gloss paints will yellow a bit more but the Dulux Quick Dry gloss doesn't yellow much and outperformed the other brands.

You can prevent the yellowing of white clothing by washing whites separate from colorful or dark fabrics, washing using warm or hot water or adding baking soda with your detergent to a load of whites and air drying.
