Do you need floor transition strips between rooms?

The transitions are really only necessary when changing flooring types. So floating planks to carpet, or tile, etc. If you are concerned about swelling, don't put them right to the walls but have them have a small gap. Something your baseboard will cover though. But that should allow for any movement of the floor.
