For pools 4′ deep or less, use 1 hose weight 4″ to 12″ from the cleaner. For pools of 4-7′ deep, use 2 weights, one 4″ to 12″ from the cleaner and one 6′ from the cleaner. For pools from 8′ to 12′ deep, use a third weight, placed 10 ft. from the swivel end of the cleaner.
Hose weights help to keep the head of the cleaner flush with the floor of your swimming pool and able to suck up all the dirt that makes its way there.
Just Add Hose Weights
It's a simple problem to solve. Just add weights to the hose and give the surface robot 2 inches of clearance. Depending on the length of the hose and whether there is a basket, you will need anywhere from two to four hose weights. Hose weights come in different gauges and colors.
If Kreepy Krauly slows or stops and air bubbles enter the pool at the return line. Find and correct the air leak that is causing the pump to draw air: Check the hose to ensure there are no leaks in the hose, or between hose sections.
If your Kreepy Krauly is often stuck at one side of your pool there are two potential fixes. If the hose is too short then buy another line and have it extended out enough to cover the pool. On the other hand, if it is constantly being coiled then relaxing it or changing how you keep it stored will fix that problem.
Flat, pulse or disk-shaped cleaners
But if you take care and maintain them properly, they may last for about three to five years.
Measuring the ideal length for your hose is a matter of calculating the distance of the two furthest points in your swimming pool. So, for example; If your skimmer is located 30 feet from the furthest corner, and your pool has a depth of 5 feet, you will need a 35-foot-long vacuum hose.
Hose Weights
An ideal place to start with the weight is the middle of the first hose and then adjust it accordingly to balance the cleaner. Depending on the depth of the pool, the hose weight will have to be moved up or down the hose to achieve the correct balance.
A Kreepy Krauly draws water from the bottom, top and sides of your pool ensuring circulation of pool water and improving water quality. This helps remove biological particles and fine particles that can cause your pool to look cloudy.
For routine vacuuming, the filter valve is left in the normal “Filter” position. This directs dirty vacuum water through the pool filter to remove the contaminants, then conveys filtered water through return lines back to the pool. The "Filter" setting is used for light to moderate levels of pool sediment.
The Kreepy Krauly E-Z Vac is designed for above ground pools, but its innovative design is based on the Kreepy Krauly in-ground cleaner.
HOW LONG SHOULD A KREEPY KRAULY RUN? Just as long as it needs to, which is generally about 2-4 hours depending on the size of the pool and the amount of debris. Best practice is to remove Kreepy from the pool after you are satisfied with the results.
In general, it's a good idea to vacuum your pool once a week. You should also vacuum your swimming pool any time you notice large amounts of debris, dirt, or leaves on the floor of the pool (for example, your pool may need vacuuming after a heavy storm).
Put it away when done using. Don't leave outdoors in the elements. Expect it to last 2 to 2.5 years at best. This is my 3rd Tigershark and 4th robotic pool cleaner and it by far the best!
One way to check for kinks in your hose is to lay each section flat on your pool's deck (or other flat surface). The hose should be perfectly straight and flat. Do not coil the hose when taking your Kreepy Krauly cleaner out of the pool because it will retain the coil shape, forming a bend or kink.
The Hug Bug is one of Kreepy Krauly's developments in automatic pool cleaning technology it will clean your pool by firstly scrubbing your pool wallsNo assembly required.
Cleaners aren't meant to stay in the pool 24/7. This is true for all cleaners. Pressure side cleaners run on a schedule every day so why take it out? Leaving the cleaner in the pool 24/7 increases its exposure to corrosive chemicals in the water, such as chlorine or shock.
You can swim while your bot cleans the pool, but it's better not to. Swimming churns up the water. If the machine is in the water at the time, the current will buffet it, making it harder for it to complete its work. It'll have to work harder to cover the same ground.
Can you leave the Dolphin in the water? It is safe to leave your Dolphin cleaner in the water when not in use. However, (when adding chemicals to the pool) please remove the Dolphin until the proper chlorine and PH balance are obtained.
The rule of thumb for pool maintenance is to run your pump for eight hours per day.
