Use a microfiber cloth or an anti-static screen cleaning wipe to gently remove dust and smudges. Avoid using paper towels or regular cloths, as they may scratch the screen. For stubborn stains, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a 50/50 mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol.
We recommend using a microfibre cloth. You should never use any type of window cleaner, soap, scouring powder, or any cleanser with solvents such as alcohol, benzene, ammonia, or paint thinner. Never use abrasive pads or paper towels.
Wash screens and frames with a solution of warm water and dish detergent. (A mixture of one part vinegar to three parts water will also do the trick.) With a soft-bristled brush, scrub both sides of the screen.
Microfiber cloths:
are non-abrasive: Looped microfiber is ideal for gently "buffing" dirt off from delicate surfaces such as glass or screens. are lint-free (in most cases). give a streak-free clean. The average "normal" cleaning rag pushes dust and dirt around, causing smearing.
Please hold off on using alcohol on your laptop screen. While alcohol might have been a decent option for screens in the past, most new displays have coatings that will not do well with any alcohol-based or ammonia-based detergents. That means NO WINDEX, RUBBING ALCOHOL, ISOPROPANOL, NAIL POLISH REMOVER, OR SKOL VODKA.
Can I use isopropyl alcohol directly on the screen to clean tough stains? It's not recommended to apply isopropyl alcohol directly on the screen. Instead, dampen a microfiber cloth with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol and water mixture. Excessive alcohol can harm the screen coatings, so use it sparingly.

Air-drying is the best option for microfiber, but if you choose to use a dryer, set it to a low heat or air-dry setting. DON'T use fabric softeners and harsh detergents. Fabric softeners can clog the fine microfiber fibers, reducing their ability to pick up dirt and moisture.

Use Soapy Water to Clean Screens
In the bucket, mix 1/4 cup of liquid all-purpose cleaner with 1/2 gallon of water (Image 1). Lift the screen to an upright position and gently wash over both sides of each screen from top to bottom with a sudsy sponge or microfiber cloth (Image 2-4).
Don't use window cleaners, household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents, ammonia, abrasives, or cleaners containing hydrogen peroxide to clean the display. Don't clean the screen of your display with a cleaner containing acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with a screen or display.
Protect your screen
Do not use rubbing alcohol, paper towels, compressed air, dish soap or vinegar. All of these can damage your phone: Paper towels can scratch your screen, and vinegar could damage its coating. Do not use hand sanitizer on your phone screen, but do sanitize your hands before touching your phone.
Making this screen-cleaning spray couldn't be easier. Simply combine one part alcohol and one part distilled water in the spray bottle. Cap it, give it a quick shake, and it's ready for use. Variation: If you don't have isopropyl alcohol handy, you may substitute plain vinegar.
Electronic screens—from TVs to computers—that gather dust and streaks can be wiped with dryer sheets, just make sure they are dry.
You should never use baby wipes on a TV screen – however easy to grab and apply they might seem. 'Baby wipes are meant to be used on a baby, moisturizing and sometimes with oils – the last thing you want to apply to your TV screen,' says cleaning expert Tricia Holderman.
Hot water damages the fibres and reduces their efficiency. Fabric softeners block the pores, preventing proper absorption of dirt, while optical brighteners fade the cloth. High heat slightly shrinks the microfibers, lowering their cleaning ability.
Microfiber can hold up to 7 times its weight in water, making it great for drying, thus preventing mold spores from growing and spreading.
The glass screen of a TV set is electrically charged, so it attracts the dust particles.
For screen, gently wipe with microfiber cloth. Gently wipe dirt on the exterior (dust, skin oil of hands, etc.) with a dry, soft cloth, such as an eyeglass cleaner. If ink from an oil marker gets on the TV, soak a cloth in synthetic detergent thinned with water and squeeze it tightly, then wipe the ink off with it.
“Gently wipe the screen with a dry cloth to remove dust and other debris, but don't press too hard.” You may also want to wipe down the TV's cabinet and make sure dust isn't clogging the vents that help dissipate heat.
Safe, effective eyeglass cleaning
Wipes and cleaning solutions provide gentle, thorough cleaning for eyeglasses, sunglasses, binoculars, camera lenses, sports goggles, and display screens.
Internal electronics, especially printed circuit boards (PCBs) require extra caution and the use of alcohol with a grade of 90% or more. This kind of isopropyl alcohol will evaporate quickly and get rid of dirt, dust, and other contaminants without damaging your devices.
