This Stanley padlock is of security grade 4. Its body which is laminated hardened steel protects it against physical attacks. Since the shackle is also made up of hardened steel, the latter will resist other kinds of attacks such as cutting and sawing.
Master combination locks have a hardened steel shackle that cannot be cut with a standard hacksaw blade. The shackle is hardened steel to deter thieves from breaking it. However, occasionally you might misplace the key for one of these locks or forget the combination, preventing access to your belongings.
By being the toughest chain, we mean the Pewag chain is the hardest chain to cut with bolt cutters. The biggest reason is the hardened steel chain is squared, so it will not allow bolt cutters to cut through it.
The easiest way to pick a Master Lock is by raking it. This is done by first tensioning the core and using a lock pick to bump all of the pins to the shear line. Master Locks can also be picked with a variety of makeshift tools including paperclips, bobby pins, soda cans, and even chicken bones.
One of the most common (and easiest to pick) locks is the pin-and-tumbler, which is a type of cylinder lock. Cylinder locks are used in most deadbolts. When picking a pin-and-tumbler lock, put the tension wrench in the keyhole and turn it as if it was a key.
Works perfectly, really good, secure-feeling lock. Just make sure you put it on front-facing b/c the backside can be cut easier. That being said, the latch is so think that you probably would have to go at it for awhile to even get into it.
THE CEN grade of a padlock stands for Central European Norm – it is a testing standard for padlocks. This is not simply a rating individual manufacturers given their own padlocks it is an independent testing body. In order for the padlock to achieve a certain CEN grade it must pass through a number of intensive tests.
The largest padlock was created by students and teachers of Pavlovo Arts College No. 23, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia and measures 144.3 cm tall, 105 cm wide and 26 cm deep (56.8 in × 41.3 in × 10.2 in). The giant security lock weighs 415.5 kg (916 lb) including the key.
Unpickable Locks Do Not Exist.
Unfortunately, 100% pick proof locks don't exist unless you have a keyless lock. Pick proof locks are actually just more resistant to lock picking and bumping as they have an extra set of tumblers which then gives the key effectively two jobs to do.
Replace your locks with a Grade 1 lock (see article: What are Lock Grades?). If you have Schlage locks already, your least costly solution is to add the new Schlage Grade 1 B60 deadbolts to your doors. Schlage's locks are heavy duty, pick and bump resistant, and built solid.
The BHMA/ANSI has three, separate grades for deadbolts, simply labeled grades 1 through 3. Grade 1 is the highest quality, and the most dependable deadbolt you can have. Grade 3 is your average deadbolt which will provide an accepted, but minimal, level of security.

To open combination locks without a code, start by pulling up on the dial and turning it clockwise until you hear the lock click. Then, check what number you're at, add 5 to that number, and write it down. Next, set the dial to that number and turn it counterclockwise until you hear it click again.
Grade 100. Next to Grade 120, Grade 100 chain is the strongest type of chain offered by most industrial hardware suppliers. It is 25 percent stronger than Grade 80, making it the best choice for extremely heavy overhead lifting use and other extreme applications.

Grade 120 chain exhibits the strongest tensile strength of all steel alloy chains and is used for exceptionally heavy overhead lifting.
Overall, wire rope is stronger than chain. The multi-strands of continuous wires give wire rope its strength, whereas a chain is joined together with links. These joins are the weakest part of a chain and can break under heavy loads.
Try bolt cutters.
If you want to try to cut open the lock itself, cut the shackle. This will not work on most master locks, as they are made of case hardened steel.
