Centrifugal blowers feature a highly efficient, long-life external rotor motor that delivers high aerodynamic efficiency. Centrifugal blowers have a compact design, as the external rotor motor enables the impeller to be mounted directly to the motor without an external driveshaft.
High-performance regenerative blowers are the most efficient and quietest of all industrial blowers. They are used in situations that require high-pressure, high temperatures, and high-volume flow. Large ceiling fans (56-72 inches)
These fans can move large amounts of air due to their large blade spans and powerful motors. For example, a 72-inch fan has a maximum speed of 9,000 to 11,000 CFM.
Whereas, in centrifugal flow, the air changes direction twice, once when it enters the fan and once while leaving it. When we talk about energy efficiency, fans consume less power than blowers and hence, are more energy efficient. But when it comes to airflow, blowers are known to produce more airflow than fans.
High Speed Blowers
If you need a blower with a significantly high pressure and flow, look for a high speed blower. These electrical blowers run via a motor. They have impellers at each side of the shaft to provide double suction. High speed blowers can reach a pressure up to 25 psi and a flow up to 15,000 m3 per hour.

Rotary vane, axial- and radial-piston, and gerotor air motors are most commonly used for industrial applications. These designs operate with highest efficiency and longevity from lubricated air.
High efficiency fan motors are quieter and do not have set speeds. These fan motors ramp up and down depending on what speed is needed. They also do a better job of balancing the temperature and controlling airflow throughout the house. These fan motors will use about 200 watts of energy in a 24 hour period.

The highest-efficiency centrifugal fans use airfoil or backward-curved impeller blades (figure 2). Airfoil blades are curved backward and have an airfoil shape (similar to a cross section of an airplane wing), while backward-curved blades are of a single thickness of metal.

Whilst 13p isn't much, that cost can add up over time especially if you've got multiple fans in the house. There are a couple of other things you can do around the house to reduce the need for a fan at night: Keep blinds and curtains shut throughout the day to reduce direct sunlight coming in. Place a box fan in the window or a pedestal fan within 5 feet of the window. When the air is cooler outside than it is inside, point the air so it blows into the house. When the two temperature points reverse and it's warmer indoors than outdoors, turn the fan around so the air is blowing toward the outside.
A steeper pitch means the blades can push more air, leading to better airflow. For example, a fan with a blade pitch of 15 degrees will generally move more air than one with a 10-degree pitch. Imagine a paddle boat - a steeper paddle angle moves more water, propelling the boat faster.
