The quickest source of nitrogen to the plants are the nitrogen fertilizers. As the nitrogen fertilizers mixed with soil and the plants absorb nitrogen in both the form such as ammonium and nitrate ions. The plants absorb most of the nitrogen from the nitrate ions.
Plant and animal wastes decompose, adding nitrogen to the soil. Bacteria in the soil convert those forms of nitrogen into forms plants can use. Plants use the nitrogen in the soil to grow. People and animals eat the plants; then animal and plant residues return nitrogen to the soil again, completing the cycle.
Recipe for homemade nitrogen fertilizer #1: Urea and grass
Fill a 5 gallon bucket with grass clippings. Fill the bucket with water and leave for 3 days. Mix 1/4 cup of Epsom salt with two cups of urine. Add this to the grass clippings steeped in water.
Coffee grounds have a high nitrogen content, along with a few other nutrients plants can use. In compost, they help create organic matter that improves the ability of soil to hold water.
Epsom salts contain no nitrogen, no phosphorus, and no potassium. In fact, its analysis is 0-0-0! It does not contain ANY of the major nutrients required for plant growth. Spraying Epsom salts on plant foliage can cause leaf scorch, so DON'T DO IT!

Eggshells contain calcium, which plays a role in the strength and thickness of plant cell walls. Broken down egg shells on average contain 39.15 percent calcium, 0.4 percent nitrogen and 0.38 percent magnesium.
Banana peels are good fertilizer because of what they do not contain. They contain absolutely no nitrogen. While plants need nitrogen (remember the NPK on fertilizers), too much nitrogen will create lots of green leaves but few berries or fruits.
Coffee grounds contain approxi- mately 2 percent nitrogen, 0.06 percent phosphorus, and 0.6 per- cent potassium by volume. They also contain many micronutrients including calcium, magnesium, boron, copper, iron, and zinc.
Coffee grounds add organic material to the soil, helping water retention, aeration, and drainage. 'Leftover diluted coffee can create a liquid plant fertilizer, too. Simply mix two cups of brewed coffee grounds with five gallons of water in a bucket overnight. '
Hence, ammonia is the richest source of nitrogen on a mass percentage basis.
Quick-release fertilizer does exactly what it says it will do: quickly releases the nitrogen and other nutrients to the turf. This type of fertilizer is typically more water-soluble, making it dissolve faster in the soil. You should start to see some lawn growth almost immediately with quick-release fertilizer.

Using pee: a how-to guide. Keep in mind that urine is very high in nitrogen. You may need to pee daily, but your plants don't need your daily pee. Choose plants that need lots of nitrogen, such as corn and squash, tomatoes and cucumbers during their fruit-bearing stage, and older plants that need a boost.
Some of the plants that like urine fertilizer the most are cabbage, papaya, beans, tomatoes, hibiscus, okra, maize, pumpkins, passion fruit and cucumbers, which produce larger fruits and vegetables due to the high nitrogen content in the urine.

Both urea and ammonium sulfate are considered high-nitrogen fertilizers. Urea in particular has the label 46-0-0, which is pure nitrogen. Ammonium sulfate is also just nitrogen with the label 21-0-0.
Along with “fertilize burn,” over-fertilizing can cause damage to your turf's root structure, as well. Some fertilizers contain high levels of nitrogen, which if absorbed in large amounts can become harmful. What mainly causes the dreaded “burn,” however, is an abundant accumulation of soluble salts.
Prevent Fungal Disease
MAKE IT: Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 2-3 drops of liquid soap in 1 liter of water. Spray the solution on the infected plants. Baking soda helps the plants become less acidic and prevents fungal growth.
Spraying Epsom salt solutions on plant leaves can cause leaf scorch. Excess magnesium can increase mineral contamination in water that percolates through soil.
