In the window covering world, we call these “light gaps.” These gaps exist because blinds and shades can't be made to fit perfectly tight to the sides of the window. Without this gap, the fabric or slats would scrape along the window frame when they raise and lower, causing damage.
Why do light gaps happen? Well, all window treatments must be made slightly smaller than the window opening to prevent rubbing on the window frame when the product is raised or lowered. On some windows, the wood or vinyl strip around your window glass may overlap enough to cover the gaps.
Measure both the width of the window and the height of the window. Consider adding an extra 3 inches to the width and height for optimum light control and privacy. Extending the blinds outside the window will also provide the space needed for the mounts and help the window appear larger than it actually is.
Tip #3: Add light blocker strips to your windows
These simple strips are especially handy if you have inside-mounted roller blinds as they sit on the sides of your windows and block the light gaps.
You can get a piece of paper and attach it with some tape to the back of one of the blinds. Leave it sticking out just enough to cover the gap between the two blinds. an ordinary piece of paper might actually be too thin, but some cardboard or the back of a notebook, you can get creative with it.

If you choose inside mount, there is usually a gap of about ¾” on either side. The material can't brush up against the side of your window frame when you lift or release them or the material would fray. To keep your blinds intact, there is a gap on either side of the roller shade.
Apply direct pressure on the cut or wound with a clean cloth, tissue, or piece of gauze until bleeding stops. If blood soaks through the material, don't remove it. Put more cloth or gauze on top of it and continue to apply pressure.
Sunshine in your home can help kill bacteria that live in the air, and spending time outside can help reduce respiratory issues. Science Daily published an article that suggests closing blinds during the day can suppress melatonin production and increase respiratory diseases.
It should be flush with the wall's surface.
For optimum light control, the blinds should overlap the window opening by at least 2 inches on each side for a total of 4 inches added to the entire width.
Privacy: Blinds that touch the sill can improve privacy, especially in spaces like bathrooms or ground-floor rooms. Day and Night Blinds and Roman Blinds benefit from this setup as they prevent gaps through which people can see. Temperature Control: In colder months, blinds that touch the sill can help retain heat.
Can people see through slatted blinds when the slats are tilted? It depends. If the slats are tilted to the horizontal, this leaves quite large gaps between the slats for people to potentially see through. How large exactly depends on the slat width.
The reason for this is that there are narrow gaps at the sides of the window that the blinds don't cover. Since this creates gaps, light manages to filter through. The fundamental problem is most cases is that the blinds are not the correct size.
All LCD screens have some backlight bleed at first, but as the pressure around the panel weakens with use, it will become less noticeable. If you've had your device for a while, the backlight bleed probably isn't going away.
If exposed, mildly loosen the screws at the rear of the display (this can reduce flashlighting) Using a microfiber cloth softly rub the area where the backlight bleeding is prominent (this can reduce backlight clouding) Reduce the screen brightness until backlight bleeding is less noticeable.
The spaces that let in this extra light are called light gaps. They're common to all blinds or shades that are mounted on the inside of window frames, and are needed in order for the blinds or shades to operate smoothly.
Installing side channels or tracks is one of the most effective ways to stop light from coming through the sides of roller blinds. Side channels are mounted along the edges of the window frame, guiding the blinds for a tighter fit. This prevents any gaps where light could seep through.
In ecology, a light gap is a break in forest canopy or similar barrier that allows young plants to grow where they would be otherwise inhibited by the lack of light reaching the seedbed. Light gaps form predominantly when a tree falls, and thus produces an opening in the forest canopy.
Blind passaging is the best practice in the. isolation of viruses. It is used when the presence of the viral growth is not apparent as being noticed. from observable changes (death, abnormalities, paralysis, cytopathic effects, etc).
The Vision/Culture Gap: This occurs when executives and management talk about the company one way, but the experience of being an employee is somehow fundamentally different.
