Grade 1 requires a key in knob must hold up to 300 lb-in and a lever lock must withstand 450 lb-in. Grade 2 requires a key in knob, must hold up to 150 lb-in and a lever must hold up to 225 lb-in. Grade 3 requires a key-in-knob to withstand at least 120 lb-in and a lever lock must withstand at least 180 lb-in.
The Grade 2 lock must pass a 400,000-cycle test. Twice as much as the residential. The Grade 1 lock must pass a 1 million cycle test. The difference between the Grade 2, which is a light-duty commercial lock and Grade 1, which is a heavy-duty commercial lock is significant.
Kwikset smartkey locks are certified Grade 1 security for residential use by the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association and are advertised by Kwikset as being invulnerable to being hacked with wires, screwdrivers, or anything else inserted in the keyway.
Because Schlage locks are made of stronger materials, are superior in their mechanism, and provide far greater security than Kwikset locks, it should be mentioned that they are more expensive compared to Kwikset. For example, let's look at the retail price for a deadbolt from both Kwikset and Schlage.
Also in the non-forced entry category, there is no doubt Schlage is better. With a better, more precise manufacturing process and 2 additional security pins than the Kwikset deadbolt, Schlage locks are significantly harder to pick, bump or compromise in non-destructive ways.

Basic Locksets
A lock's security is denoted by its American National Standards Institute (ANSI) grade, with Grade 1 the most secure and Grade 3 the least. A builder-quality tubular lock will likely be a Grade 3, a good-quality handleset a Grade 2.
ANSI Grade 1 door locks offer the highest level of lock security. These locks are very difficult to pick or break and are resistant to any tampering with the lock's parts like removing pins, screws, etc. They're mostly used in high-security and commercial settings like banks and office buildings.
A closed shackle padlock is designed to have the minimum amount of shackle exposed; which means that if a criminal wants to saw it off, they will have a hard time doing so! This type of a shackle typically has a higher security rating compared to an open or semi enclosed shackle.
This grading system assigns letter scores of A, B, or C to deadbolts in three categories: security, durability, and finish. The best deadbolts are graded AAA in this system. Our top choice of deadbolts, the Schlage B60, is rated grade 1 by ANSI and AAA by BHMA for the highest security rating.
1) EVVA MCS
Each key has a complex rounded shape, this coupled with the magnetic element makes it an extremely hard lock to pick. The only way to gain access to the door would be for the key to be cloned, and in that case, a master locksmith would need to get their hands on the original key.
Grade 2 – Higher Residential Security Designed to offer excellent security and durability. Used mostly for residential applications and some light commercial applications. Grade 3 – Basic Residential Security The lowest grade provided by ANSI, and the minimal acceptable quality for residential door locks.
Deadbolt door locks are the most secure type of key lock and are commonly used on exterior house doors. Single and double cylinder locks are classified by strength from Grade 1 to Grade 3. Grade 1 is the highest and provides the best security.
A good choice for light commercial areas. Grade 3 is the lowest grade. It must operate for a minimum of 200,000 cycles and withstand 225 lbs of force per inch for lever locks. This grade is typically for residential applications. Buildings frequently use both Grade 1 and Grade 2 locksets.
ANSI Lock Grade 3
Grade 3 is considered low-grade for residential use only and should never be used in a commercial or industrial application. In fact, I don't recommend using them in residential either.
Schlage mechanical locks include ND Series Grade 1 and ALX Series Grade 2 cylindrical locks designed to suite perfectly for a visually seamless look when used together.
CR's take: The Medeco Maxum 11TR503-19 is the strongest deadbolt across all of our lock categories. It's top-notch for drilling, withstands kick-ins very well, and is designed in a way that makes it quite difficult to pick.
ANSI Grade 2
All of Yale's smart locks have a security rating of ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 (Grade 1 is highest). They aren't as strong as the Schlage Connect, a Grade 1 lock, but are ideal for use in residential settings.

More secure than nothing, probably less secure than tying a small dead rodent to the door knob. Kwikset pin tumbler locks are made to tolerances that make them pretty easy to pick and very vulnerable to bumping. A fermenting vole will require some gloves and a pretty stout stomach to dislodge and use the door.
