Is it OK to bend PEX? Yes, you can bend PEX. Its flexibility is one of the main benefits of PEX pipe versus rigid pipe. PEX can often maneuver around corners without the use of elbows or other additional fittings.
Expansion joints are required when the temperature change is greater than 25°F. Scepter Rigid PVC Conduit has a coefficient of linear expansion of 3.6 x 10-4 in./ft./°F. Generally, a 100 ft. run of PVC conduit will undergo a change in length of 3.6 inches for every 100°F temperature change.
However, if they must be put in a vertical application, the open end should be securely fastened in the down position. The expansion fitting must be installed close to the top of the run with the barrel pointing down, so that rain water does not enter into the opening.
PVC Street Elbow: Mainly used in street drainage systems to ensure smooth discharge of rainwater and other drainage fluids. Its design takes into account the high flow and impact of street drainage.

Wye fittings are similar to tees, but they differ by tilting the bypass line to reduce friction and turbulence. They are commonly used to attach a vertical drain to a horizontal pipe. The connection is usually 45 degrees rather than 90 degrees. If a branch is further away at 90 degrees, the fitting becomes a combo tee.

Elbows. If you need your piping system to get turn or get around something in the way, you will need to bend your pipeline around with PVC elbows. Elbows are most commonly available in 90-degree angles and 45-degree angles, so your pipeline can be directed however you want it.
A general rule of thumb is that for every 100°F temperature change in a 100 ft. run of PVC conduit, the conduit will undergo 3.6" of expansion or contraction. In installations where the expected temperature variation exceeds 25°F expansion joints must be used.
You need a union fitting, which can be glued to each part with appropriate pipe stub, then screwed together (not pipe threads - unions are different, so they can do what they do.)

An elbow pipe fitting is used in the plumbing industry for directing flow. It can be installed at an angle by using a T-shaped device which is referred to as Elbow Fitting, or it can connect two pipes with each other without crossing paths (90 degrees).

Especially when your PEX is pressed up against a wall—or there is just otherwise very little wiggle room to work—crimp tools can become a much bigger hassle. The larger jaw of the tool means you need ample room behind your PEX to be able to make a proper connection.
