The Vornado Heaters offer a consistent, gentle heat powered by our signature Vortex Action so no spot in the room is left cold.
The tower heater is listed as being able to heat a whole room or can oscillate heat 80 degree. There are 2 heat setting for low and high and a fan only option.
Vornado does not recommend unattended and unsupervised use of this heater.
Vornado uses the most effective filter combination with a PreSorb® prefilter and a True HEPA primary filter. Signature Vortex Action circulates all the air in the room because if the air is not moving – it's not being cleaned!
While electricity draw is exactly the same as most heaters on the market, the efficiency and effectiveness is incredible, which is what sets it apart. The consumption of electricity has been drastically reduced, and with no cold spots in the rooms my children are much more comfortable.
A: Yes, this is a very dependable fan that can run all day ong.
If you use a space heater in your home, please be aware that using a space heater can cause a significant increase in your monthly bill. A 1,000-watt space heater operating 12 hours a day will add about $40 to your monthly bill. If the cost does not deter you, remember how important it is to use space heaters safely.
Even if you're looking for a direct breeze, an air circulator is a better choice as it can provide that direct airflow with the added benefit of circulating air throughout the room, ensuring consistent comfort. If you need more even cooling, fans might not be the most efficient choice for larger spaces.
Place the Air Circulator near an open window, sliding door or French door to take full advantage of mild temperatures and seasonal breezes. Winter: Position your Air Circulator in a place with unobstructed upward air movement.
Whether you're looking to cool off during the summer heat, improve air quality, or circulate warm air in winter, Vornado's powerful yet energy-efficient fans are the perfect tool to create a more comfortable home environment.
Vornado recalled about 7,780 heaters due to a power cord issue that can pose electric shock and fire hazards.
Use only while placed on the floor. † This heater is equipped with a thermal safety shut-off system, designed to turn off the heater when an internal overheating condition is detected (see How To Use “RESETTING YOUR VORNADO HEATER,” to determine how to check and reset the heater).
Your Vornado Heater has a multilevel safety shut-off system designed to prevent overheating. Overheating may occur when the inlets or outlet are blocked. If this happens, the safety shut-off system cuts power to the heater and you must manually reset the heater.
Fan heaters, particularly models like the HV21, are efficient for quick heating in small spaces. They use direct airflow to distribute heat rapidly, which is energy-saving compared to heaters that take longer to warm up a room.
Safety Recall
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Vornado is voluntarily recalling certain VH2 Whole Room Heater units because the power cord can partially detach from the enclosure, which can lead to cord damage over time, posing electric shock and fire hazards.
A: Yes. The heater itself stays cool, so as long as you do not have "shaggy" carpet and the unit can sit completely flat, it's perfectly safe.
A: The Vornado 630 uses about the same amount of energy as a 50 watt light bulb.
Vornado VH2 Whole Room Heater
Vornado's models topped just about every best list out there where space heaters are concerned, so you can't go wrong with a variety of Vornado products, no matter your space or heat needs this season, with the VH2 being its most consistently singled-out performer.
Vornado is an American fan and home appliance brand based in Andover, Kansas, United States. The current incarnation of the company was founded in 1989, two years after the death of Ralph K. Odor (1895–1987), who founded the firm in the 1930s with Ottis A. Sutton in Wichita.
With an Air Circulator, you can ensure that the warm air continues to flow around the entire room. Your body and your heater will thank you for it! Of course, this effective combination of winter appliances allows you to also save on energy.
Place the Air Circulator near an open window, sliding door or French door to take full advantage of mild temperatures and seasonal breezes. Winter: Position your Air Circulator in a place with unobstructed upward air movement.
Circulating fans, including ceiling fans, window fans, table fans, floor fans, and fans mounted to poles or walls, create a wind chill effect that makes you feel more comfortable.
What costs the most on your electric bill? Heating and cooling are by far the greatest energy users in the home, making up around 40% of your electric bill. Other big users are washers, dryers, ovens, and stoves. Electronic devices like laptops and TVs are usually pretty cheap to run, but of course, it can all add up.
Answer. To calculate the cost of running a 1500-watt heater for 24 hours in the US, you need to know the electricity cost per kilowatt-hour (kWh). If the average cost is about 16 cents per kWh (as of early 2023), the heater uses 1.5 kW x 24 hours = 36 kWh. Therefore, the cost would be 36 kWh x 16 cents = 5,76.
Using a space heater can be a good way to boost the temperature in a small, drafty room—and it could be less expensive than cranking up your central heating system. But a space heater is economical only if you use it judiciously.
