It is anticipated that by 2025 all vehicles will contain 1234YF. Don't fret, however, if your current vehicle requires 134a. 407C REQUIRES AN OIL CHANGE TO POE OIL WHEN RETROFITTING A R22 SYSTEM! All HFC refrigerants are made to be used with and are only truly miscible with polyolester oil (POE).
Conclusion. R407C can continue to be used in existing systems, provided they remain in good technical condition and are regularly maintained. However, operators should consider transitioning to more environmentally friendly alternatives such as natural refrigerants in the long term.
