If it's low pressure, once the water has run out, close that tap, then turn the Cold supply to the Pressure Reg on again. Let the cold water to the shower run for a couple of minutes. You may get some air bubbles etc coming out. See if that helps. If not, I'd say the Pressure is too low...
Check the main water supply pipe and find the valve next to the meter. You can tighten or loosen the bolt at the top of the valve to increase or decrease water pressure respectively. Tighten the bolt in small increments at a time, then use the pressure gauge to see when you reach the right PSI between 40 and 60.
Fitting a pump can provide very good water pressure for your shower, and by choosing different strengths of pump you can have a very powerful shower capable of pumping larger shower heads and multiple body sprays.
If you have a combination boiler, it will not be possible to use a pump. They require hot and cold feed from water tanks. All power showers will need to be installed by a Part P qualified electrician as they require an electrical feed into a bathroom.
A high pressure shower head maximizes the flow of water through the shower head for a powerful spray. Waterpik™ shower head engineers design water passages to minimize flow restriction and optimize the shower force, and put every shower head design through more than 1,000 hours of testing.
Before you can determine how to increase water pressure on your gravity fed system, you'll need to identify where your cold water storage tank is. If your cold water tank is not in the loft space and is in a cupboard instead, you can increase your home's water pressure by moving the cold water tank to a high position.
A quick and easy way to increase water pressure is to adjust the pressure-reducing valve, which can be found in your home, usually close to your water meter. If your pressure gauge reading was low, make slight adjustments to your regulator.
Flow restrictors are usually found in the neck or threaded end of the shower head exposed when the shower head is removed from the shower arm as shown in the image below. They would appear in the opening of the aerator when it is removed from a lavatory or kitchen faucet.
Fixing low water pressure can often be addressed with easy solutions such as cleaning the shower head, adjusting valves, or replacing the shower hose; for persistent issues, more advanced solutions like upgrading pipes or installing a shower pump may be needed.
High or low pressure shower heads offer a revitalising shower experience. They're engineered to increase water flow and pressure, providing a strong and satisfying stream. A high pressure shower head helps to wash away stress and tension, with adjustable settings to customise the intensity to individual preferences.
Most low-flow showerheads have a rubber pressure-reducing valve (called a regulator) to maintain a lower pressure. You can increase the flow by simply taking it out. You could also consider enlarging the hole that allows water into your showerhead with a drill to increase the amount of water coming through.
In order to make a built in shower, or thermostatic shower a 'power shower', a separate twin impeller shower pump, or similar needs to be fitted in the backend of the water system. This will then will force the water to the shower.
One of the best options for increasing water pressure is the AquaCare high-pressure shower head. Not only does this option come with a jet spray setting, but it also has a high-pressure spray nozzle that increases the overall pressure of the shower head.
If your pressure is higher or lower, then you'll need to install, repair, or adjust your pressure regulator to comply. Adjusting your regulator is easy, as long as it's working properly. Simply tighten the screw down clockwise to increase pressure and counter-clockwise to decrease pressure.
A 10.8kw electric shower is the most powerful electric shower there is and it means that it will provide improved pressure and a higher water temperature. For the best performance, 10.8KW electric showers need a minimum of 1.5 bar water pressure with a flow rate of 11 litres a minute.
