Find out the volume of your pool. This will give you an idea of how much shock you need. The general recommendation is to use 1 pound of cal hypo shock for every 10,000 gallons of pool water, and 10 ounces of sodium hypo with around 12.5% chlorine to sanitize your pool. Make sure the pool water is at its normal level.
How much shock do I need to shock my pool? A simple ratio and a standard rule of thumb to follow when you shock your pool is to dissolve one pound of either calcium hypochlorite or sodium dichlor for every 10,000 gallons of pool water.
Smaller inflatable pools, under 10 feet wide, require less chemicals, with ideal pH levels being between 7.2 to 7.8. Not every inflatable pool will need chlorine however, some people actually prefer not to use it.
Do i fill the whole thing up till filled with tablets? or do i stick one tablet in for a 10ft summer wave pool. thanks:-) Answer: One tablet is all you need.
You should allow 50g of chlorine granules per 1000 gallons.
Like water in any other swimming pool, a Bestway pool's water has to be consistently sanitized. For chemical water disinfection, you can use either chlorine or bromine in a Bestway aboveground pool. Maintain Bestway aboveground pool chlorine levels at 1 to 3 parts per million (ppm) or bromine levels at 2 to 4 ppm.
For the greatest protection against algae, bacteria, and cloudy water, Intex pools should maintain a chlorine level of 2.0-4.0 ppm at all times.
Shock is chlorine, in a high dose, meant to shock your pool and raise the chlorine level quickly. Chlorine tabs (placed in a chlorinator, floater, or skimmer basket) maintain a chlorine residual in the water. You do need to use both tabs and shock.
Liquid chlorine and granular shock have the same active chemical that sanitizes your pool, what changes is the strength and the way you use it. Liquid chlorine is less costly, unstabilized and comes in liquid form. Granular shock is stabilized and comes in a solid form that dissolves in your pool.
To superchlorinate, add AT LEAST 2.5 ounces (5 tablespoons, 75 grams) of chlorine for every 100 gallons (400 litres) of spa water or part thereof. Adding more is fine and never a bad idea.
To dose water in a tank with 5 mg/L chlorine use: 40 millilitres of liquid pool chlorine or 170 millilitres of bleach, for every 1000 litres in the tank.
INITIAL STARTING DOSAGES :
Maintain chlorine at a minimum of 1.5 ppm and up to 3 ppm. The more swimmers you have and the warmer the water is, can double your pool's chlorine consumption. Add whatever amount of chlorine it takes to maintain a 1.5 ppm chlorine..
Luckily, Bestway Fast Set Pools are easy to set up, and depending on the size you choose, will take 10-15 minutes to fill with water. Simply inflate the ring around the top of the pool, and then let it rise upwards as you fill the base with water from a hose.
Intex 10' X 30" Metal Frame Pool Set
The pool is ready for water in 30 minutes and holds up to 4,485L.
A common question asked is, “Can above ground pools stay up year round?” And although the easy answer is that “Yes, they can,” whether you want to leave them up year-round really depends on the type of pool you have. Dismantling some above ground pools for the winter may be more hassle than it's worth.
You shouldn't expect your Bestway Fast Set Pool to last more than four years. The air ring stretches with use.
For 10ft, 12ft, 15ft or 18ft above ground splasher pools we recommend Fi-Clor 5 Buoy and a pack of 3 Way Test Strips (see above). The 5 Buoy contains chlorine and clarifiers to keep the water clean and safe.
