Most Master Locks are very easy to pick and are considered one of the easiest beginner locks when practicing lock picking. They have 4 standard pins and a wide-open keyway that can be quickly bypassed in many ways including picking them with improvised tools such as paperclips, bobby pins, or even a chicken bone.
Most locks use between six and eight pins, although some use as few as four or as many as ten. The devices have been widely used on vending machines, elevators, public computers, and bicycle locks.
140 is a pin-tumbler padlock made by Master Lock. The No. 140 is a 40mm wide solid body padlock with an inner cylinder that uses four pin stacks and may contain spooled security pins. The shackle has a diameter of 6mm, and a length of either 22mm or 38mm.
The Master Lock 9140EURD has the following specifications: 40mm aluminium padlock - 21mm hardened steel shackle, 6mm diameter - 4-pins.

Try bolt cutters.
This will not work on most master locks, as they are made of case hardened steel.

Master Pin: Usually a cylindrical shaped tumbler which is often flat on both ends, placed between the top and bottom pin to create an additional shear line. Rose: A circular or decorative trim plate attached to the door under the knob or lever.
Most Night Latches (Yale Type Locks) are 5 pin but more and more common now, is 6 pin cylinders. This one extra pin makes a vast amount of difference to the security of the lock.
Aside from the number of cuts on the key, it's simple to determine if a key is a 5-pin or 6-pin key at a glance: A 6-pin key has a longer keystop on top. A 5-pin plug can be repinned to accomodate a 6-pin key. In Figure 11, notice that the 0-position on the key is not used.
The lockset inside a deadbolt lock consists of a rotating barrel and five spring-loaded pins that fit into the barrel to prevent it from turning. The key pushes these pins up and out of the barrel, and that's what you're going to do with the pick.
Unpickable Locks Do Not Exist.

The easiest way to pick a Master Lock is by raking it. This is done by first tensioning the core and using a lock pick to bump all of the pins to the shear line. Master Locks can also be picked with a variety of makeshift tools including paperclips, bobby pins, soda cans, and even chicken bones.
All that is required is that you get hold of a bolt cutter to cut the master lock. If you do not have a bolt cutter, you can get that or leave the task for professionals to do. Please note that cutting a master lock with a bolt cutter might not work on most master locks because they are made of case-hardened steel.
