Select Start from the taskbar, then find the app you want to pin in the list or search for it by typing the app name in the search box. Press and hold (or right-click) the app, then select Pin to Start . To unpin an app, select Unpin from Start.
Click the Start Menu. Search on the app (application) to add to the Taskbar or Start Menu. Right click and choose Pin to Start or choose more, then Pin to Taskbar. Another way to add it to the Start Menu is to left click and drag & drop into the tile section where you want it to appear.

Right-click the website shortcut you created and select “Pin to Start.” The shortcut will appear in the Pinned section at the top of your Start menu (on Windows 11) or in the app tiles at the right side of your Start menu (on Windows 10.)
To create additional space for more tiles, click on the Start button > Settings > Personalization > Start. On the right pane, select "Show more tiles." Click on the Start button and you'll see that the tiled area is larger, creating more space for further tiles.
To make other changes to how the Start menu looks, select Start , then select Settings > Personalization > Start. You can then change which apps and folders appear on the Start menu or assign more or less space to the Pinned and Recommended sections.
Note that tiles can only be created from application listed. To add further applications to your list, click Back. To modify your applications list (refer to Create Application List section above). To add a tile or tile group, drag items from the application list panel and drop them in the Start Menu Tile Groups panel.
If "Pinned to Start" is selected, the app will appear in the 'Pinned' section of the Start menu. Depending on the number of apps pinned, scrolling may be required to locate the app.
Users can add and subtract quick access icons by adjusting Windows 11 Settings. Open the Windows 11 Settings app and then click the Personalization item in the left hand navigation window (Figure A). Scroll down the right hand side of the screen to find the item labeled Start.

Open Start Menu Settings: As previously described, navigate to the Start settings in the Personalization menu. Adjust Layout: Here, you can choose to have more pins, more recommendations, or a balanced approach. This affects how many pinned apps and recommended items are displayed.
Pinning and unpinning tiles
If you want to add a tile to the Start menu, you can pin it. You can also unpin tiles you don't use very often. Click the Start button, then find the desired app from the list. Right-click the app, then select Pin to Start.
Drag existing apps on Start to reorder or group them. Resize tiles. To resize tiles, right-click the tile and then select Resize. Create your own app groups.
A tile is an app's representation on the Start menu. Live tiles display information that is useful at a glance without opening an app. The News tile displays headlines while the Weather tile displays the forecast.
