The rubber gloves allow you to get a tighter grip when attempting to loosen the P-trap nuts by hand. If the rubber gloves don't work, go ahead and use the plumbers wrench. Hold the P-trap with one hand while you twist the P-trap nut with the wrench. Once you have loosened it, finish unscrewing by hand.
Simply pour a handful of salt down your drain pipe, quickly followed by boiling water. Alternatively, boil the water in a saucepan and stir the salt in the boiling water. Once the salt has completely dispersed, carefully pour it down the drain.
spray it liberally with WD-40 and let it sit overnite. then use a pipe wrench. Sometimes I heat the fitting with a torch first and let it cool to warm before spraying the WD-40.
Put your bucket/dish under the U-bend and carefully unscrew the section of pipe. The U-bend has two sets of threads, one at either end. As you loosen them any backed up water will drain out, so take your time.
Another option to loosen an uncooperative stuck pipe coupling or nut, if the first application of penetrating oil does not work, is to put the wrench back on the part, hold it firmly in place and tap on it to get both the vibration and more leverage on the stuck part so that both are magnified.

Pour some baking soda down your drain and then pour boiling water down after. Sometimes this will clear the clog. Use a plunger on your sink drain to try to force the clog out of the trap.
You can also try a lubricating product like WD-40. Apply it to the area around the threaded fitting or joint and wait a few minutes for the product to make its way into the connection. Then use the pipe wrench or your hands to twist the pipe counterclockwise until it is loose enough to remove.
Heat the PVC Pipe
So, by applying heat to the pipe with a heat gun, you may be able to soften the joint enough to separate the pipes.
The job goes more quickly by pouring hot water or a mixture of vinegar, baking soda and salt water down the drain. Space heaters, hair dryers and heating pads are highly efficient tools for unfreezing a drain pipe. If a frozen drain line ruptures, turn off your home's main water supply.
Deeper P-Traps could be used, but they would require more space close to the fixture, so the HepvO sanitary waste valve with its slimline design is an ideal alternative in this situation. In cold climates the water in a p-trap is likely to freeze, block with ice and potentially crack.
Unlike other plumbing fixes, there is no need to turn off the home's main water supply. You only need to make sure water going into the specific area you're working on is off. It's important to remember that this is still a wet process.
The clogged p-trap
The curved shape that catches water can also trap debris such as hair, soap scum, food particles, or tiny objects dropped down the drain. Hair clogs are especially pernicious in bathroom sinks and shower drains.
Commonly known as CRC, penetrating oil should be your first step in trying to loosen a nut, bolt, or screw. Spray the fastener and leave for 10 – 15 minutes to allow the oil time to penetrate the threads of the bolt or screw. Then use a wrench or screwdriver to undo the fastener.
When the plug is red hot, quench it with water. It will cool off rapidly and be steaming. Wait about five seconds and then use your wrench. You will find that you can remove the plug easily.
If a wrench isn't available, use adjustable pliers or a socket set with pliers to turn nuts and bolts. An adjustable wrench is a versatile alternative, or a pipe wrench for gripping.
If you can't see any damage or build up on the tap, it may simply require a little bit of additional force. Grab a wrench and gently but firmly turn the tap anti-clockwise until it begins to move. Be careful to not apply too much pressure, as you don't want to damage the tap accidentally.
