Spray the filter with Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner and let it soak. Rinse. Using a faucet or garden hose, rinse the filter from both sides, starting from the interior towards the exterior to prevent pushing dirt further into the fibers of the filter. Avoid wringing or stretching the filter – they can tear easily.
Slide the water filter out and remove any debris that might be stuck on it. You might find debris, mold, or algae, so wear gloves when cleaning the filter. Finally, soak the filter in soapy, warm water for about 10 minutes. Clean the inside of the caps and casing with a sponge.
How to unblock a DPF? 1) DPF Regeneration - Find a motorway near you where you can drive at 70+ MPH for 30-45 minutes; this should provide the optimal conditions for the regeneration process to complete. If this works, consider a regular drive along a motorway regularly to allow the regeneration process to complete.
The most likely cause is that the air pipes of the filter are disconnected or blocked or the air pump has broken down (See Q1). Once the pipes are cleared or reconnected or the pump has been repaired or replaced - the filter will work again and the tank will clear.
Remove all the filters in a worksheet
If you want to completely remove filters, go to the Data tab and click the Filter button, or use the keyboard shortcut Alt+D+F+F.
If your filter has not been changed often enough or cleaned properly, particles can build up and eventually clog the system. Additionally, inadequate pre-filtration of the source water may lead to clogging by allowing too many contaminants into the system before filtering them out.
Damaged Spark Plugs: Driving with a clogged air filter for too long can cause an excess of unburnt fuel, leading to carbon deposits on your spark plugs. This, in turn, can cause misfires, rough idling, and difficulties starting the engine.
Take out the clogged filter and dispose of it properly. Clean the casing with warm water, kitchen soap, and either a cloth or sponge. Add silicone grease to the o-ring to help it sit in the casing properly and then put it back in its normal spot. Add the new water filter cartridge to the casing.

Take the filter outside if possible to avoid stirring up dust inside your home. Use a vacuum with a soft brush attachment to remove debris from the filter. Run the brush across the filter to gently loosen stuck-on buildup.
A warning light letting you know your DPF is blocked should not be ignored, but can in many instances be remedied by driving in a way which initiates passive/active regeneration of the DPF. Driving for over 10 minutes at speeds in excess of 40mph will often be sufficient to clear the blockage and regenerate the DPF.
Use Pliers To Remove the Filter
For particularly stubborn filters, we recommend a pair of pliers for the job. If you're having issues getting a good grip on your filter, a squeeze from a pair of pliers can help you get a good grip on your filter before extracting it.
Filtration: In most instances your aquarium can survive many days without filtration as long as oxygenation (and perhaps temperature control) is provided. In order to reduce any ill-effects caused by reduced filtration, reduce or stop entirely the feeding of your fish. Most fish can survive many days without food.
Check the intake strainer for any debris or obstructions. Algae, uneaten food, or accumulated gunk can impede water flow. Gently clean the strainer using a soft brush or rinse it under running water to remove the buildup. If uneaten food is a major part of the build-up consider reducing feeding quantities or frequency.
