Fully extend the blind, and then hold it by the weight at the bottom to keep it taut (without pulling on it). Move your duster or the vacuum cleaner brush attachment lightly over the surface of the fabric, starting at the top and working down.

Fill your bathtub with warm, sudsy water (use a grease-busting dish soap) and give the blinds a good soak. Then gently wash them with a sponge, wiping along the edges, where dust tends to accumulate most. Drain the dirty water, and then rinse the blinds thoroughly.
Polyester Roman Blinds are more resistant to moisture, so you can spot-clean them with a moist cloth. Make sure to check it won't bleed any colour. You can test on a small area on the reverse of your Roman blind first. Regularly remove the dust and in case of a stain, try to get them cleaned as soon as possible.
Then mix a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 4 parts water in a spray bottle and spray evenly over the blind. Let sit for a few minutes before using a dry cloth to blot away the moisture. You may need to repeat the process a few times to fully lift the mould. Once clean, use fresh water for a final spray and blot.
Household items including white vinegar, lemon juice and tea tree oil mixed with water are a few of the best ways to clean vertical blinds with unsightly mould on them. The mould can be removed by spraying these liquids onto the targeted area on your vertical fabric blind, leaving them to soak, wiping and rinsing off.
Cleaning Blinds
If you have horizontal or vertical blinds, rubbing alcohol can help you clean them very quickly. Overtime blinds get dusty and a little bit dirty but this a simple, quick fix.
Trying to clean dusty blinds with soap and water can leave dirty streaks, plus, it's drippy and messy. It's easier to wipe them with a duster or microfiber cloth. Leave your blinds in place to dust them. Just open the blinds and clean them from the top to the bottom with a lambswool or other type of duster.
Whether your blinds are metal, wood, or plastic, weekly vacuuming with a brush attachment goes a long way towards keeping them clean. As blinds accumulate dust and dirt, they should be deep cleaned every month to two months to help keep them clean and dust-free.

Regular dusting with a microfiber duster, feather duster, or soft cloth is a benefit to all blinds.
