You can replace just a few if needed, or buy the entire filter nest assembly. Remove the nuts and bolts around the top and bump handle pins. Remove filter lid, then lift out the entire nest assembly. Slide off the tube sheet top and pull up the damaged flex tubes.
I take mine apart and wash it down then dip into garbage can full of water and half gallon of muriatic acid. Next day, I wash them down and let dry and then put back together. They are still original and had mine from beginning for 6 years and still brand new.

A DE filter needs backwashing approximately once a month during normal use. Backwash more often if your pool looks dirtier than usual or if the pressure has increased 8-10 psi. Rinse the DE grids about twice a season.
With time the sand in your filtration system will break down into smaller particles and get out into the pool. Run the backwash until the water in the sight glass (or the water you can see exiting) runs clear. Rinse Cycle: After backwashing, switch the filter to the rinse setting. Run it for 1-2 minutes to clear out any remaining debris and prevent dirt from re-entering the pool.
If you fail to rinse after backwashing, the overall quality of your pool water can decline. Backwashing a filter aims to remove contaminants, but if you fail to rinse the filter after backwashing, you are at risk of putting those same contaminants into your swimming pool.

White vinegar includes more water, and therefore a lower concentration of acetic acid, than cleaning vinegar. Both will work well as an antibacterial cleaner for household chores, with the more concentrated cleaning vinegar packing a greater acidic punch.
