Pause all notifications
You can temporarily stop notifications for all apps by turning on Do Not Disturb (or another Focus) or a sleep schedule. Your status appears in the Messages app to let people know you're not receiving messages. Open Control Center on your iPhone. Tap Focus, then tap Do Not Disturb.
To turn off notifications selectively for apps, go to Settings > Notifications > Siri Suggestions, turn on Allow Notifications, then turn off any app.
Users can go into the emergency alerts section to enable and disable emergency alerts and also be able to choose the notification to play with sound or for it to be silent.
b) Go to notifications: Scroll down and tap on "Notifications." c) To find Government Alerts: Scroll to the bottom and locate the "Government Alerts" or "Emergency Alerts" section. d) Toggle off alerts: Toggle off the switches next to "AMBER Alerts," "Emergency Alerts," and "Public Safety Alerts."
On models with an Action button: Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics, then turn Silent mode on or off. You can also configure the Action button to turn Silent mode on or off, in addition to other functions. See Use and customize the Action button on iPhone.
Silent mode won't stop your phone from vibrating when you get a notification, but there's a way to turn that off, too. While the ring/silent switch mutes all alerts and notifications (along with sound effects and game audio), your iPhone may still vibrate when you receive a call.
Tap Press Power & Volume Up together. Choose what happens: Vibrate: Phone calls and notifications vibrate. Mute: Phone calls and notifications are silent.

Open the Settings. Select Notifications or Apps & Notifications. Tap Wireless Emergency Alerts or Advanced and then Emergency Alerts. Toggle on and off Amber Alerts, Severe alerts and Extreme alerts.
The default option may include "no sound", or otherwise preparing an audio file with no sound may be an alternative workaround. For the Google Pixel series, Android 12 particularly: Settings - Sound & vibration - Default notification sound. Inside "My Sounds", choose "None".
Sound Notifications: If you have enabled audible notifications for many apps, you may hear a beep sound more often. You can try turning off the notification sounds in the Notification Center. Software Glitches: Random beeps in your iPhone can be the result of glitches in the apps that you have installed on your device.
So, when you get the “notifications silenced” note, your message was delivered but they were not notified because they are blocking notifications.
Quickly turn interruptions off or back on
To turn Do Not Disturb on or off, swipe down from the top of your screen. Then tap Do Not Disturb . Tip: If you have a Smart Display or speaker with the Google Assistant, you can ask it to silence your phone.
