The most common causes of a home alarm beeping are the faulty battery or your battery is getting weak. Most systems will allow to to silence the beeping by pressing the status button on your keypad, disarm your system and immediately disarm or by disarming your system by entering your code.
A Checklist for Stopping the Chirping
First, replace the old battery. If you've installed a new battery and the alarm continues to beep, drain any residual charge from the unit. Remove the unit from the ceiling and remove its battery, then hold the test button for 15 seconds. Next, replace the battery.
If it's something as simple as a battery, you can replace it to stop the beeping. But if your sensors are hardwired and they happen to be broken, you'll need to call your security company and schedule a repair. In the meantime, you can adjust your control panel settings to bypass the sensor that's beeping.
To get it to stop sounding you'll need to turn the mains off and pull one of the connectors off the big battery inside the control panel. If the alarm outside is still going they sometimes have their own batteries. It should stop after a set amount of time, usually around 20 mins.

Reset the home security system
Even though you can turn the alarm off on your home security system without assistance, you cannot reset it on your own. Contacting the security company will allow you to have the system reset, although this may mean creating a new security code or pin number.
Pressing the “Test/Silence” button on the front of the unit should stop it from beeping or chirping. If this doesn't work, grasp the device and turn it counterclockwise.

Beeps Once Every 30 Seconds or Minute
Most often, a single smoke alarm beeping every 30 seconds or one-minute signals a low battery. It could also mean you put the batteries in the wrong direction or that the battery drawer is still partly open.
There will be a red wire and a black wire clipped onto the battery, only one wire needs to be pulled off in order to completely disconnect the battery from the system. Once this is done and the transformer is unplugged, the system should be completely powered off.
